So I believe at long last, the "Phantom TV ratings Sketch" has been found!

(The cold open from Season 22 Episode 10, host Kevin Spacey and musical guest Beck, aired 1/11/1997)

Comparing it to Sweet's column, he used the same premise of the sketch to peddle his bizarro worldview, but didn't actually seem too plagiarize it wholesale. He probably should've given credit where credit is due.

Not to beat a dead horse, but that picture of Jon with his brothers straight up confirms his autism. His expression, what he's doing with his right hand...this is my first time ever seeing the Sweet brothers and they look far better than I ever imagined. Sweet still looks like a clown as usual.

Your brothers look like perfectly normal people and I guess balding isn't common in the Sweet clan. Sweet lost at the genetic lottery like Chan said.

Sweets wishes he could grow a beard as awesome as middle brother.

I think it was posted earlier, but buried in the past 296 pages, so thanks for finding it.

As for plagiarism, whether or not Sweet plagiarized is kind of irrelevant, given what we know of Sweet's antisocial behavior at ASU and on the Herald. Plagiarism or no, Sweet would've eventually been kicked out for something. And in college journalism, what's plagiarism may very well have a broader definition, so using the same premise for an article like that could be plagiarism at the Herald.

So which one in the pic is the one who allegedly stole Sweet's checks and dominated the car since that one dude "skipped town?"

What I'm put off by, aside from the things other people have mentioned about the Three Sweets shot, is how he has just posted four more pictures of his low-rent Sort Of Freddy Krueger Halloween costume, in late November. I don't know what the wig is for, since Freddy is a crispy critter thanks to outraged parents... but then, autism, face blindness, what are you gonna do. Let him have the wig. It's the only time of year he gets to feel like he has hair.

I've said it before, but if Sweet had just given credit to the SNL sketch, he would have been in the clear, plagiarism-wise. He could have said "As inspired by SNL, here's my take on the new ratings system". Yes it was unfunny and racist, but the content was original, just not the concept.
As for the pic, I suspect Mama Sweet insisted on Jon's presence. If the groom had his way, I bet Sweet would have been left at home. I sure wouldn't want him around on my special day.

While I don't want to say anything that could be construed as a threat lest I get a long string of ridiculous verbiage in return, I was the small-for-her-age Girl Scout and I imagine I could have handled this task, while of course yelling "Help! Fire! Danger!" etc. to summon adult help, as we were always taught to do.

I've never believed he was actually expelled for plagiarism. I think that's what they told him hoping it would go over better than "You're being expelled for being a racist socially stunted bigot who sexually harasses women and makes other students uncomfortable."

Thanks for finding this. Now he has no excuse to avoid seeing it, other than the fact that it'll crush his silly fantasies.

Pft. This just proves that ASU hired the actors, used makeup techniques to make them appear the right age, got a bunch of students to play the studio audience, then filmed the skit with a network quality camera. The skit didn't exist when Sweet made his original idea. Or are you trying to say Saint Sweetums, Patron of mold and filth, would lie?

This is what Sweet actually believes!

He wasn't expelled for plagiarism, and even Sweet concedes this point. The confusion arises because he has fused his being kicked off the paper for plagiarism, and his expulsion for subsequently making threats against students and staff, into a single conspiracy, to the point where he sometimes uses the two events interchangeably, even though they occurred about a semester apart.

He still won't watch it. When pushed into a corner like this, he told me, "Well I don't want to watch now it because if I did it would my argument of having no knowledge of it." :stupid:

One of the many targets of his protracted harassment campaign told him to stop contacting him, but not before pointing out that Sweet admitted to the plagiarism, and his admission is on file. And how does he think he's going to pay if they were to let him back in? I suspect the scholarship he had no longer exists, as higher ed funding has been gutted, especially in the red states. He probably won't qualify for a student loan, as I suspect his credit has been shot, and any private scholarships would be awarded to someone more deserving once any awarding agency does a cursory google search on the Prince of the Mold Kingdom.

Sweetums added some new fetish fuel to his collection, I didn't login or open it so all of them, so there's probably some truly horrifying ones behind the censor tag, but just the previews were enough for me.
