I'm not saying that in particular is a major factor, just pointing out there are other differences than simply one being OLED. Different processors, RAM (24 GB for Ally X vs 16 GB for Steam Deck), operating systems (SteamOS vs Windows), input (Steam Deck has touchpads, probably an important factor for some), battery life (Ally X has a bigger battery, but Steam Deck is better optimized for some games), etc. There's not a clear winner in all aspects, so it makes sense for each person to look at the differences and decide what would work better for them.
