All the people I personally knew that went through chemo lost a lot of weight, but this is Amber so who knows.

Her announcement shocked me. From the thumb nail, I knew she had 'bad news' - but I expected either Becky's Mom had passed or was literally on her death bed or Becky had ended their relationship. This is a whole other level of: "Oh, SHIT!". 1 of Amber's biggest problems is she never passed 'Adulting 101' & now has found herself punted into a post-graduate adulting program. PL - my immediate family went through a cancer scare, (thankfully proved negative), but the weeks of testing & general fear of the unknown & what was coming was almost all consuming... we zombied through our regular responsibilities.
She is about to undergo a bewildering round of very traumatic events & I know she's going to find coping very difficult - she has no coping skills. Tons of different tests to get staging & if it's spread, to try & find out to what degree & where. Her doctors - yes, plural, are going to have to work out a treatment regime based not only on her cancer diagnosis but allowing for the many & varied complications her weight will bring to the table.
If they decide to do a panhysterectomy, (uterus & ovaries), she's high risk for surgical/post-surgical complications: including but not limited to bleeding because in all the fat, they missed & thus didn't cauterize some blood vessels, infection; shit too many to list & my brain is all over the place with this right now. Panhysterectomy at a normal weight when it can't be done by keyhole surgery because of other issues involves a recovery process that initially needs LOTS of assistance for anything physical. Frankly, too much for Becky even if the boys help.
I have to agree, (ain't retrospection nice?), with many others who said the medical issues she presented with to Emerg & never really followed up on, may have been related & if so, strongly indicate a higher staging. My knowledge & experience with any aspect of oncology is thankfully, limited but I know we have up to date medical farmers here who'll provide helpful insight. Amber at this point, will have very little solid info to give us as so many tests remain.
A big part of how this will go will revolve around how she reacts. The odds have got to be against her - right now - but I wonder if there's a chance they'll improve if she follows, to the letter, her doc's treatment plan, especially weight loss? Does she have enough backbone to fight this? It's a tough, tough fight & cancer takes no prisoners.
Lastly, this will seriously affect the dynamics in their household. I can't foresee her NOT being bedridden for at least part of this & she may, (hope not), be in a great deal of discomfort or outright pain. The other 3 are going to have to juggle a normal life for themselves & their ongoing relationships with her, (finally genuine), needs for calm, quiet & "authoritative" leadership from... somebody. She's going to need an intelligent adult, capable of remaining calm to go with her & take notes on what the doctor says. When you're shit scared, you can't trust yourself to hear correctly & even if you do, you will forget some important bits. She is going to have a lot to juggle - can finally put some of her journals to "good" use.
Becky is going to need a LOT of support for the foreseeable future. First her mother, now Amber & her own health issues - that'a a lot to shoulder & at times she is going to feel very alone.
Added: if she chooses to do so & does it openly, honestly & all that good stuff, a video log of the entire process, (as appropriate), would bring in a lot of money.

Let’s remember that, for someone her size, even a wisdom tooth removal can be deadly. Her BMI is over 90. This is beyond any classification of obesity. Her pussy cancer might not even be the thing that beaches her on the heavenly shores.

That's easy to get rid of they cryo it off or use a laser it's also ridiculously common glad she didn't have cancer.I don't think that's the case for our Queen becausebut I just wanna share a story.
Last year one of my cousin was devastated because she thought she had uterine cancer.
I don't know what the Doctor said to her but she thought she might have with since my cousin was bleeding from her vagina and had lesion in her vagina and fallopain tubes.
So she did other test.
Everyone was so worried but in the end my cousin only had HPV because she fucked with no rubber

I am bothered by the way she found out. Did she say she got a call? I believe her reaction is 100% real, and she is in a panic, but in my experience, they don't call you and tell you that you have cancer. It is really nerve wracking, but usually you have to wait for an in-person visit with the surgeon for results, even if it is benign. If anyone else has any insight to this, please enlighten me.

I find it pretty strange too. Usually, you want to set an appointment rather quickly to discuss treatment options and prognosis. It is never done on the phone since you can’t judge how the patient will react. Usually, a social worker will be present and sometimes a patient advocate to help going through cancer treatment. Even if the biopsy shows pre-cancerous cells, treatment options should be discussed, such as prophylactic surgery or ablation.

I thought out of all the deathfats, the fat faggot boomer who had a dead arm and how many strokes because he can't cook meat properly would be the first to go, and that ALR's youth would power through. All those bad decisions and self destructive habits caught up to her, and unlike Chinny who has that Canadian healthcare system to take care of growths, she's got nothing to pay for that healthcare bill as far as I know. As mean and cynical as it sounds, Becky would be better off in the long run if Amber dies. That would force Becky to work for a living and lose weight, and find a less toxic girlfriend. Maybe deep in her white trash brain she realizes that and secretly feels relieved.
As for Amber's diagnosis... Well, color me surprised. I'm not feeling glad that she's dying, but not sad either.

I assume it's cervix cancer and not the uterus. Because cancer cells like to grow in places where different tissues are connected. The mucus membrane and the smooth skin of the vagina are meeting in the cervix.
And I can tell you, that she won't recover easily from a hysterectomy. First they have to do an open surgery (Wertheim-Meiggs) and can't remove the uterus through the vagina or via laprascopy. For an laprascopy they have to shred the Uterus so they can pull it through the tube in the belly and when you shred the uterus in pieces it would spread the cancer cells in her whole abdomen.
Her massive weight will cause healing problems.(My mom had cervical cancer and she had a normal weight and still got problems with the healing.)
She will have definitely incontinence after this operation. All the weight pushing on the bladder and no uterus to keep in place. And if she gets radiation it can damage the bladder too
She will suffer hard when she survives all of it. That's for sure.
