It's a forum where people actually try to reprogram their brains through hypnosis and subliminal messages to be more like their favorite MLP characters. It's one thing to see a character as a role model, but to alter your own mind is another (some claim they can feel their "hooves"). While they warn people ahead of time, it's still crazy shit. (Since the place is moving, I have yet to find the files.)

Granted the development journals can range from lolcow to sad to creepy.
 
June 20th, 2013 - Twilight Ind+BGM 3.0
-First time I have felt any effects, after an entire week and a half of nothing.
-Weak sensation of hooves
-Light pressure on forehead when round to the horn part of the file
-Effects felt on rear, unfortunately not tail effects
-No voice, mane, hind legs/hooves or forelegs felt. Still, i was overjoyed that I could feel partial effects.

There's actually a thread for people like this. I forget the actual term....tulpa maybe? Anyways it exists and stop it, you'll summon c-no.
 
Words cannot describe this. It's just too autistic. I think we've found it, the Cthulhu of autism. CWCthulhu, if you will. A person or group so weird and creepy they just break your brain.
 
The moderation is pretty bad there, there's like 30 threads for someone to say "hi I'm new", as oppose to our one.
The tread titles are bad, I have no idea what half of them are even about
There's a sub forum for video games and one for "games ponies play."
And the actual point of the whole board is for…

I can never decide if this is more or less pathetic than tulpa.

Anyway, my previous "mole" inside Redlight Ponyville told me about the enthusiasm over these files. She found them pretty fucking crazy, and this is from someone who is not the picture of mental health in any way. There's also a lot of focus on lucid dreaming in order to go to Equestria, although I guess that's at least acknowledging it's a fantasy.
 
As someone who identified as a Brony for a long time I sometimes can't help but wonder just what the fuck happened to that fanbase. I remember back in 2011 it wast just that cute, optimistic cartoon that made people happy and I thought it was just what the world needed more of. But now I look at these Tulpas and Hypno ponies and all the creepy sexualised fanart and i wonder how we got here. It's depressing, really.
