The Hubble Space Telescope is 28 years old, hard to believe, honestly.

It's still up there in low Earth orbit, snapping pictures and quite honestly offering up more questions than answers about the universe.

For those of you who are a little bit older, you may remember that when Hubble first launched all of its pictures were blurry - this was due to the fact that its primary mirror was ground incorrectly - back in 1979! This was over 10 years before it would be launched into orbit. It took a visit to the space-based telescope during one of the shuttle missions to add corrective optics that fixed the error.

NASA, the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency are currently awaiting launch of the James Webb Space Telescope which is viewed to be the successor to Hubble. JWST is complete and awaiting launch - which won't occur until 2020.

Alright, time to keep following the Chris Chan shit.

And its successor, The James Webb Space Telescope, is still delayed.
Thanks Obama!

I remember when it finally went up in to space. My dad set up the VCR so we could have it recorded.
>Older than most of us... Ha ha... :(

People should spend less time REEEing and more time building awesome space stuff.
