How much longer do you think humanity is going to live?

Eh on average about 1000 years? It's brought down a lot by various things that could go wrong, if they don't, 10,000+ years.

. The only thing that could possibly save us is AI. Too early to assume though cause AI today is just used for brainrot stuff, but I feel like all the power that AI would have in the future would be taboo.
What do you base this on?

How is AI any different than what men have made in the past. AI is nothing but what is being fed to the algorithm.

It not only means that everything it learns is through the spectrum of human behavior and thinking. That's how it came to "life" in the first place. It can be tweaked at will. It also means that the algorithm it runs on has been designed by someone who thinks like a human.

How is AI to do any difference if it is not sentient and able to manipulate and transcend the limitations of human coding and preconceived guidelines it was fed? How can the later even be possible without the former, and vice versa?

Having an extra tool does not change anything when governance pursues other interest. It's not that nobody know about the issues, it's just that there are other interests at play.

I try not to think about it, because I am concerned enough with my own destiny (not in a grandiose way, just the perspective of disappearing, not being conscious, not existing in any shape form or thought). But if we're going to be doom posting, I don't give us much chances.

Most people conveniently chose to ignore how long it's been (most of us) have not been at war. And if you actually look it up, it's not that long.

Now, with the kind of weapons we have, I don't give us 900 years unless there is some massive development on the defense/containment side. But they are too busy building weapons for this I guess.

I know from experience that it only takes one unhinged faggot to blow a very profitable operation just because he has an ego and or is retarded. It's gonna happen, and I unfortunately don't think it's going to take 900 years.

I'll go back to not thinking about it. Because it's out of my control. And there are some things I need to accept are out of my control, or I go insane.
