I want to know if anyone has dual monitor setups here and if they have any advice. Currently, I'm running a setup of a 23.6" Asus monitor on HDMI I bought back in late 2017, alongside my old 20" Acer monitor from 2007 running on DVI. The resolutions come out odd for screenshots, but it works.

Two, both old monitors with outdated resolutions. I still wouldn't go back unless forced.

Only trouble I ran into was using VGA with one of the monitors. It was garbage, luckly I got a cable and replaced that sucker asap.

IDK, maybe four? I only have two ports so I don't have them all hooked up, but off the top of my head, I've paired my HP 2011x with a lot of generic screens, one a VGA 1080p from way back in 2011, another a TV/monitor hybrid-thing that displays something like 1366x768, and an old CRT from god knows when.

Getting the layout right is a bitch because I don't have any monitors that are the same size.

Nah, the old monitor I got for like 20 bucks from a co-worker 5 years ago. The monitor I'm using to replace that is the one I got from said relative. It also came with an arm that I have to pay for.

I was trying to make a joke about dying from bad capacitors, but in hindsight it was retarded.
At work I have 3 monitors for 4 PCs , via a kvm.switch. It is a fucking ridiculous set up. I share a room with 7 other people with similar kit. There is no air con. It is hell.

I have a 24" Samsung LED monitor, so only one. It was like 60 euros off and I needed a new one to go with my new computer, so why not.

1 TV (mostly for games and consoles) + 2 Monitors

43" (3840x2160 16:9) Samsung TV + 21,5" (1920x1080 16:9) LG Monitor + 25" (2560x1080 21:9) LG Monitor

Productivity and Entertainment in a single space, 4K Gaming on PC and all the other consoles on the TV

Just one, it's ten years old now but it's a very good monitor.

I also have a few other random monitors I've kept over the years that I have no idea what to do with. They're working and all, but there's no real market for used LCD monitors.

Middle monitor is a 32" 4K hooked up to my PC. Right monitor is a 27" 1080p hooked up to the PC. Right is an identical 27" screen hooked up to my cable box, Switch, and PS4.

For my gaming rig, I found out that one good monitor is better than two average ones. My work machine has two though, the extra screen real estate really comes in handy.

Two so I can watch youtube and play video games. I have a very short attention span otherwise.
