How hard exactly are teaching careers? Excluding primary school shit.

How much free time do they get? I heard they work pretty much all the time and constantly get calls even while at home. And stay hours after students leave to prepare program for the next day and check homework.
Requesting real teachers/their relatives/friends experiences

Do not teach at a public school and/or an inner city school. These places have become woke hives for HR ladies and black students who hate you. If you want to see the results of liberal white women being in charge, look no further than these disasters.

Your only chance is private, and even then you'll have a real struggle finding a school that doesn't have contempt for actual education.

I could write a dissertation about all this shit, but this about sums it up.

I have a friend who is a 7th grade teacher at a public school in a fairly wealthy, white area. The kids are not alright. They’re addicted to phones and have little to no reading and writing skills. The type of work they turn in is pure slop, it’s a massive blackpill every time he sends a pic of some random kid’s homework or test.

>become teacher
>get paid nothing to babysit retarded niglets
>get (justifiably) blamed for kids being retarded and unable to read
>be a cancer on modern society
>have your paycheck stolen by union to fund people and policies that want to kill you

No, go ahead and do it OP. Go into debt for a job that pays dogshit wages where you babysit 56% mutant freaks all day with zero chance to make a positive difference to anything.

It isn't awful to teach adults who pay to take your lessons. The only negative there is 90% of the time your not really needed beyond a formality and try to help one or two a bit out of their depth.

I wouldn't have the patience to teach people who just show up from obligation.

You're probably thinking "Oh haha how quaint, some humorous racism in my racism site" but no, listen to me.

You still gotta convince me, assuming my area is 100% white

What do you mean exactly?
Those who can't, Teach
Officer please, I can't teach

I have no idea how this happened, but for some reason many of my irl friends are teachers. Heck, I even dated one for a while after my divorce.

From my secondhand knowledge, even though it looks like teachers have it easy because of all the holidays they get, they work hard for their money during school terms. Plenty of late nights marking work, fucktons of professional development guff, dealing with shitty parents of shitty kids and so on.

The most interesting nugget of teacher intel comes from a friend who is a Special Ed teacher. When he moved into mainstream teaching, by the end of his first semester he was dead keen to get back to tard wrangling. Male of that what you will.

I'm not really from the west, but from what I've heard it can't be that different. All school is nowdays is a daycare since both parents are forced to slave away and the multui-generational households are no longer a thing.
Thing is, if you're actually good at what a teacher is supposed to be, i.e. a mentor, you'll hate every second of being a modern universal basic education zogslave. "Da system" will actively fight against you and will not allow you to teach kids anything outside of tests and straight up propaganda, even when some of them are genuenly gifted. Overworked, underpaid and forced to throw the future of your nation under the bus. If you're ok with this, then try to remember what I taught ya.

My true and honest advice - just become a personal tutor. No credentials needed, no tard wrangling, save more money, live more better.
There's also this screenshot which really suits the thread but not my post, so here ya go.

That 4chan post is taken from a famous article in 2009, text version here. There's others that corroborate it, all coming from previously liberal teachers. The summary is teaching is miserable in public schools with no discipline; it's not worth it unless you get a nice, well-behaved private school.

Another thing I've heard from friends is the requirements for teachers keep creeping up. It used to be you could be a teacher with just a high school diploma, sometimes requiring an undergraduate degree. Now states have added tons of regulations, needing state certificates, continuing education credits, passing exams in your chosen subject, and a lot of other paperwork to prove various credentials. Sometimes you need specific degrees in your subject area (science, English, etc). Depending on your situation, you may need special credentials, like a certification for working with special needs kids, for running a lab, etc.

You're expected to do all this on top of your normal classroom work, which is killer for teachers that have families that take up their spare time. So check what your state requirements are too.
