Serious Answer: Combination of the Sexual Revolution/gynocentric society and because we are wired biologically to tolerate and justify female behavior.

Women are not disposable, men are. Men get punished and censured because biologically speaking they aren't that significant in terms of reproduction.

You'll notice that even in history, executing women accused of crimes was done with a lot more reservation and pity than men. For example-even a woman accused of murder who was pregnant got to have her baby before death (depending on context of course).

A society that punishes and shames women equally-would have been unthinkable to our ancestors because that would mean far less women having children.
