Making soap for yourself is my first recommendation for any self prepper. Cleaning laundry or the car or the dog is important. How have y'all cleaned without name brands in your everyday life?

I would like to get a steam cleaner, but I cant justify it in my small house. Can you use it on wood and drywall?
On wood yeah, if it's sealed well. On drywall probably not, maybe depending on the type of paint on the walls? My walls have latex paint and it works fine, no damage yet. I have mostly tiles at home and it's the best cleaning solution I've tried so far. Just vaccuum really well and then steam clean, it has the longest lasting results that way, without the use of any chemicals 👍

It's simple but you can make use stuff in your bathroom to clean tiny annoying spaces. You know that pile of toothbrushes you've been getting at the dentist for years? One of those and a little tub of bleach and water will let you get to tons of the shitty little nooks and indents you've been struggling to clean out for years. I've also found that water flossers make perfect miniature pressure washers for gunk build-ups nothing else can reach. You'll be amazed how much gross shit is festering in tiny holes around sinks, chairs, ceiling spaces and whatever else is in your house until you flush them out for the first time.
