My father brought me to work as a 3 year old one time. He worked in this office with these 2 gigantic black women. The whole office was just the three of them. One of them asked me, "Caesare, do you like black people?" and my 3 year old answer was "NO! They're ugly!"

My dad was so embarrassed lol. The women thought it was hilarious but they thought my dad put me up to it. He didn't though, just the honesty of youth. Those ladies were really nice though, my dad was very fond of them.

Hey! Yeah so growing up I was from a small farm town in the good ole US of America. Everyday I was told by my father how I won the lottery by being born in this great country as he chucked his old Milwaukee can at my head. I don’t know that I was ever very based as a little kid. I grew up in a high class white neighborhood and all the black people I knew and went to school with were well off and really didn’t act any different from the rest of us. It never really occurred to me that there was a difference until around the time I was in middle school.

There was a group of friends I hung out with a lot though who were always pretty based even as kids. Of course when I was in elementary they were in middle school and so on as the years went. I remember early on when I first met them they introduced me to a fat Puerto Rican kid. Now at the time I had never met nor had I ever even heard of Puerto Ricans. At the time he looked like a Mexican to me and so I would regularly refer to him as a Mexican in spite of his protests that he was Puerto Rican and that because of that he hated Mexicans and therefore took offense to me calling him that. It became a running joke that I would regularly respond to this with “Whatever, shut up you stupid Mexican.” To this day I still call him a Mexican.

I got a weeks' worth of detention at school for pointing out how the twin towers fell in free fall, by cross-referencing footage from Fred Dibnah.

The teachers went angryNPCnoise meme on me, which turned the kids in to angrynpcnoises.jpg as well. I stood my ground because Dibnah was the man. Nobody could deboonk me, disagree with what they saw or call Dibnah a bullshitter. So i copped a weeks detention, my guess is that it was a way to keep the peace between the kids and the teachers.

I never mentioned anything about any conspiracy theory, because I was a kid and my only experience of conspiracy theories was the film Conspiracy Theory with Mel Gibson. I didn't question the motives, if it was a set up or anything. I just questioned how the towers collapsed from plane crashes, when they both fell in free fall.

Here's a weird thing I've never let out of my head about odd views I had at like the ages somewhere between 5-8. At that age I thought every black woman was short and obese and for whatever reason I thought of every one being named "Missie".

I don't really remember it, but my Dad tells me about one time I was about 6 and he took me to uni with him for whatever reason. At the end of his lecture, one of his pupils saw me waiting for him at the door and said something like "You must be Niall! Can you give me a kiss?" to which I allegedly replied "Nah sorry, I don't kiss Black girls". According to my Dad, that girl never came back to his class and wouldn't look him in the eyes afterwards. Even though he'd have been chased off campus if that happened a few years later, he's very fond of retelling that story whenever I'm about.

And another one I just remembered: playing hangman at French class in school, a Black girl mocked my stupid spiky hair on the stickman, so when it was her turn I drew a black stick figure on the whiteboard. She was friends with me and took it as a joke, but I still ended up in detention.
