Setting aside all the street-shitter gangrape scam call centre stuff that its followers are involved in aside, what's your honest opinion on the religion of Hinduism? How do you feel about the whole karma re-incarnation stuff and all that?

muslims are excommunicated if they don't contribute to charity regularly
hinduism exists to make the dumbass caste system legitimate by saying IT'S THE COSMIC ORDER
Charity solely for other Mudslimes. Kuffars get jack shit other than jizya or death.

I have some issues with Hindu practices and the caste system but they stick to their native lands and don't try to spread it to other places. I have no problems with them killing Muslims and burning mosques wherever they find them but I strongly condemn any violence against Christians, Buddhists or Sikhs.

Their land, their culture, their religion.

mostly indifferent

hinduism is so massively complex, the sheer amount of deities and traditions it has accumulated over the millennia is staggering. i don't understand much of it, but it doesn't seem to have that drive to dominate the world that the two big abrahamic religions have, so i don't have reason to oppose it

Someone once described it as modern-day organized paganism. That's the closest I have gotten to summarizing it, but I still feel it is far off.

I don't bother studying Hinduism because it is constantly changing. The moment I learn about it, that knowledge is obsolete. It's not just weird, it's chaotic.

I'm an utilitarian so I only care about the behavior a religion incentivizes.

Reincarnation as an idea can be spun, and has been spun, whichever way. (It's not an exclusively Hinduist belief; Pythagoras, for example, believed in reincarnation and was ridiculed for that by his contemporaries.)

To me at least it seems that reincarnation (whether intra- or cross-species) is a better notion that YOLO. I first encountered it in a special issue of a children's magazine; it had a simple and stupid but beautifully illustrated tabletop game in it, and short stories and poems on the reverse side of the foldout game sheet, and one of the stories had children talking about reincarnation and their deceased relatives reincarnating into things in the natural world. There was no talk of karma and tiers, the message was, almost literally, "don't shit into rivers because it could be someone's grandma".

But then I've seen actual Hindus justifying their mistreatment of animals with "lmao they deserved it, they must have done something bad to be reincarnated as animals".

Another data point is westoid Hinduism and beliefs in reincarnation correlate with veganism, and vegans are notoriously shitty people.

Westoid Hindus treat women worse than Christians, however this might be the convert effect.

The Indian dowry custom (when daughters are negative value and the family must pay to get rid of them) is vastly more retarded than the Muslim bride price custom (when the family of the bride and/or or the bride herself get paid by the family of the groom).

Hinduism is likely the best religion for Indians, despite the above and other possible failings, because any alternative is bound to be pushed by enemies and traitors.

Bull honkery. Street shitters have infested the US tech industry with the caste system, to the point where multiple states are trying to pass laws against caste discrimination.

Intresting mythology, but otherwise weird, convoluted and sometimes outright backwards, specifically with the whole traeting women essentially being second class citizens (and not in the soyboy male feminist way. There is a gang rape epidemic in India for a reason also the practice of sati is degenerate. Look it up if you don't know what it is) and just the whole caste system thing. I like it insofar as it relates a lot of Indo-European mythology to the Proto-Indo-Europeans' worldview, language and culture and how it spread it to China, Japan and SE Asia; I would never seriously consider practicing it. Still better than the Mohammedean faith.

Religion-wise they're meme-tier. No one that wasn't raised a Hindu has any reason to entertain Hindu ideas.
While they have a wide range of beliefs and complex philosophies you eventually realize that it really, really doesn't matter whose right. Who cares if Vishnu is an actual god, or an avatar of the one god, or if there are no gods at at all. Worship who you want, accept whatever stories you want, believe in how many gods you want. Your average Indian doesn't give a shit and just believes random bullshit completely disconnected from the deep theology anyways.

Hinduism isn't even a religion or even one 'thing' so yes it is hard to describe as a religion. Some Hindus take on aspects of Islam and Manichaeism was also largely absorbed into Hindu populations. Hinduism is just a grab bag of every culture and religion that passed through India and that even depends largely on area and the other major religions or even cults in the area.

For example of this many Hindus did not live in purdah until the Mughal invasions and even after it wasn't a completely accepted tradition.

It is an extremely old religion, just that alone means it must have some kind of good social utility justifying its existence, if nothing else.

I know very little about it other than 'lol elephant god', and I imagine most people in the West know just as much if not even less.

Caste-based Hinduism is Institutionalized Racism. Never let a Pajeet lecture you about anything related to race, ethnicity, or equity. "If this country is so racist, then why does India call brown people 'Untouchable'?" is all it takes for massive Pajeet REEEEEing.
