Here's my thing with a Home Alone reboot...

Doesn't the existence of smart phones, computers, and eternal access to the internet pretty much kill the concept? I mean even back then, they had to REALLY stretch to eliminate the parents' ability to contact Kevin via the phone, but with so many avenues to reach out to people, I feel like the concept kind of dies with that.
