The game will have Denuvo Anti-Tampering, which apparently screws with mods beyond surface-level types, like model/texture swaps.
On a different topic, there have been some answered questions from the WB support team on Twitter.
TL;DR:
- You can turn on and off various aspects of the UI in the settings.
- Preloading will be available about 3 days before release.
- The Kelpie Robe is exclusive to the collector's edition
- No cross-progression.
- Hogwarts Legacy will be Steam Deck verified.
- You can have multiple save slots; 4 character slots with 5 auto-save slots and 10 manual save slots for each character.
- Family sharing on Steam will be supported.
