Didn't this game just come out? Wasn't it the thing at the Game Awards and people were calling Geoff Keighly a shill over it? It's not Concord levels of failure, but damn, still pretty quick.

It IS a concord level failure. This game had Tencent money and 100k players at launch, and still shut down in under 2 months. Tencent couldn't even be bothered to pay for the servers for the 500 or so people still playing it.

Keep in mind, this game is free to play, so it is not like they are made money from those initial 100k

Anyways, I look forward to the clowning on the anti-chuds that defended this game, like this video.

The author even said that you can take Tencent money as a brand new studio and still be independent.

I hope we can stop with these kind of games for awhile. The games as a service type shit is done. People call this concord 2, 3, or 4 but that's not fair. Highguard was just mid. It didn't do anything egregious like Concord where Concord had hideous characters, body positivity, and "extreme diversity" in their slop. Highguard was just meh and didn't do anything revolutionary or have cool unique characters. It was mid slop.

Fair Games however when it's out is destined to be the new Concord.
