Help me settle a debate with my coworker

[Canned Ham]

Every Monday, someone on my team brings some snacks into work. Usually grocery store doughnuts, but there are a few ladies who bring in homemade cookies. I don't bake, I just buy stuff at BJs.

Today I bring in a big bag of nigger nuts, and just dump it in our blue plastic bowl with a post-it note saying "nigger nuts" in case people don't know what they are.

About a half hour later, one of my coworkers comes up to me and says, "Canned Ham, they ain't called nigger nuts, they're nigger toes." I say nah, my pap and grandpap called them nigger nuts, everyone knows that. He says no, they're nigger toes.

So what are they, nigger nuts or nigger toes?

Wikipedia is biased though. it claims the term fell out of use when that's blatantly untrue.

I'm going to lean towards calling them nuts, as the outside looks like a black scrotum and the inside contains something the right shape.

My family has always called them nigger toes. Never heard anyone refer to them as nigger nuts.

Ugh, they look more like nigger nuts, but that's problably a bit to realistic for some people. I can see calling them toes to be more popular as it's more abstract to make the nuts palatable.

Nigger Toes are them chocolate candies with creme inside. It might be a regional thing and either of ya'll might be correct. Never heard nuts called nigger toes though.
