If you want a vivid description of heaven and hell, you really won't find anything as detailed as those from Allah and his Messenger ﷺ . I'll try and compile some general ayat and narrations to put things together for you.
When it comes to heaven, what must be understood that it isn't just a place with clouds and blue skies with singing angels as per most depictions in media. I remember many atheist apologetics a decade ago would criticize the concept of heaven itself by saying things like "I would simply get bored of heaven, eternity sounds miserable." But as described in the Qur'an and by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , heaven is a pleasure whose essence cannot be fully understood by description, an abode where every wish that a heart has will be fulfilled. Things in Paradise will have similar names but their reality is completely different. Just like our world in which we have gardens, rivers, fruits, clothes, mansions, etc., there will be those things in heaven for the believing men and women to enjoy as recompense for their deeds.
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الأَشْعَثِيُّ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ، سَعِيدٌ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَعْدَدْتُ لِعِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحِينَ مَا لاَ عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ وَلاَ أُذُنٌ سَمِعَتْ وَلاَ خَطَرَ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ " . مِصْدَاقُ ذَلِكَ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ { فَلاَ تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَا أُخْفِيَ لَهُمْ مِنْ قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ}
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying that: Allah the Exalted and Glorious, said: I have prepared for My pious servants which no eye has ever seen, and no ear has ever heard, and no human heart has ever perceived but it is testified by the Book of Allah. He then recited: " No soul knows what comfort has been concealed from them, as a reward for what they did". (xxxii. 17)
Sahih Muslim 2824a
Some of the general descriptions of Jannah (Paradise) are that it contains gardens under which rivers flow. There are rivers of Water, rivers of Honey and Milk that never spoil, and rivers of Wine which when drunk neither intoxicate or cause headache. Its width is as wide as the heavens and the earth, and its tents are made of hollow pearls and span 60 miles. Its inhabitants will eat from silver and gold plates and drink from silver and gold cups, drinking cups of Wine mixed with Zanjabil (Ginger) and cups of Wine mixed with a water from a spring in Paradise called Kafur. The men and women of paradise will not have their current deficiencies; they will need no sleep, nor will they pee or defecate, they won't feel hunger nor heat or cold. There will be purified spouses , and women called al-Hoor al-'Ayn; women like preserved pearls that have never been touched before with large, beautiful eyes, and the marrow of their calves can be seen from beneath their bones and flesh. The believers will recline facing each other on thrones, reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses, as they are dressed in green garments of fine and thick silk, adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls. They will be free from any dirty or evil speech from each other, and their greeting therein will be "Salam" (Peace, safety from evil).
Abu Huraira reported: I said, “What is Paradise built from?” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Bricks of silver and gold, its mortar is musk of strong fragrance, its pebbles are pearls and rubies, and its soil is saffron. Whoever enters it will enjoy bliss without despair and eternity without death. Their clothes will not fade, nor will their youth expire.”

But, the greatest pleasure of all for the inhabitants of Paradise will be getting to look upon the Face of Allah, al-Jameel (the One who is the source of all beauty, the Most Beautiful).
[For clarification, when mentioning the names and attributes of Allah, Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah affirm what Allah ﷻ affirms for himself upon the apparant meaning without denying, distorting, likening said attributes to the creation, and describing their modality. All while affirming the statement of Allah ﷻ ,

There is nothing like Him; and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.
— Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan

75:22
Some faces that Day shall be Nâdirah (shining and radiant).
75:23
Looking at their Lord (Allâh).
— Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan
As for the description of Jahannam (Hell), it is just as detailed; harrowing in how it causes the hearts to tremble in fear.
7:179
And surely, We have created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell. They have hearts wherewith they understand not, and they have eyes wherewith they see not, and they have ears wherewith they hear not (the truth). They are like cattle, nay even more astray; those! They are the heedless ones.
— Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan
35:36
But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism), for them will be the Fire of Hell. Neither will it have a complete killing effect on them so that they die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We requite every disbeliever!
— Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan
Just like heaven is an eternal pleasure without an end, Jahannam can be described as the ultimate torment; a humiliating punishment of Hell-fire constantly increasing in torment without end, the abode of the disbelievers.
Some details about the Hellfire: Jahannam is similarly massive and vast beyond imagination in it's size and assorted torments. On the day of judgement, Hell will be brought out in front of all mankind and jinnkind with 70,000 reigns; each reign carried by 70,000 angels. Its depths are such that if a stone was to be thrown from it's very top, it would not land to its bottom until 70 years of continuous falling. The sun and the moon in their vast size will be two rolled-up bulls in Jahannam. It will be filled to the brim with men and jinn, as out of every 1000 people of the offspring of Adam (Peace Be Upon Him), 999 will be thrown into the hellfire. Jahannam is described as a beast that hears, sees, and speaks. It will recognize its inhabitants and give out a devastating roar, and once it's filled with all of its subjects will ask Allah ﷻ for more out of its ravenous nature. The hottest fire of this world is only 1/70th in heat in comparison to the fire of Hell. The skins will roast until they are seared off, and they will be replaced so they can feel the torment more. The size of the disbelievers in hell is massive; so much so that the molar of the disbeliever in Hell will be the size of Mount Uhud, and the thickness of their skin will be like a journey of three days. This is in order to increase and intensify their suffering and torment. As said before, the punishment of Hell is constantly increasing, and there will be no respite for those imprisoned in it. Its food is Zaqqum, a fruit from the trees of Hellfire with the faces of devils. They will fill their bellies with it; they will choke on it and it will boil their insides like molten brass. Its drink is Hameem, a boiling hot spring which the disbelievers will drink from like thirsty camels, burning their faces and boiling their insides. They will be forced to drink al-Ghassaaq, the festering pus oozing from of the people of Hell. Hell has levels with increasing punishment, with those at the bottom of hell being the Hypocrites that pretented to be Muslims to protect their lives and wealth, and the least severe punishment of Hell is to wear two sandals of fire that cause the brain to boil. The one with the least punishment will think they are being punished the most.
I could go on for a while with the descriptions of Heaven and Hell, but I think I gave a sufficient description of each for you to ponder upon. Hopefully that answers some of your questions.
