My Denon AH-D1200 are starting to break, I'd love some suggestions for a new pair. I was originally suggested my current pair by someone working with audio, but I don't consider myself an audiophile in any way except I like how much clearer my Denon's have been compared to all my old, shitty "gaming" headphones.
I'd prefer wired on/over-ears, I don't need a built in microphone and I'd prefer a set that is durable and can stand some exposure to weather, as I like to listen to streams while I exercise and get sweaty/wet from rain.
I don't have a precise budget in mind, as I'm willing to save up until my current pair disintegrates completely as I just invested in replacement earpads that cost me around 75 dollars. 600 dollars feels like a steep but acceptable cost if the headphones in question will serve me for just as long, if not longer, as my denons have.
