HBO’s Watchmen - NOTHING EVER ENDS...Except When It Should
They already commited to making Dr. Manhattan into a non-glowing nog who’s always fully clothed. What purpose does it serve to his character for him to now not be blue, have hair, and suddenly walk around naked again?

Well I guess we can say this shitty version of Watchmen at least included BBC (Not gonna lie, I would have thought they'd interpret that as Big *Blue* Cock, considering the spoilers I've read over the past few weeks... But, law of averages... makes sense that these fags would have to honor the source material of *something* at least *once* in the development of this, even if it was just shitty a cards against humanity meme,.)
So what are the viewing figures and normie reactions to this show? If this is anywhere near being an actual success they might renew I think I'm just going to unplug from everything and live in a cave somewhere.

Each episode only gets about 2/3-3/4 of a million viewers. Which means you could add the ratings of every single episode of this and it wouldn't amount to the ratings for a single episode of Game of Thrones. The show is hardly a hit.

Apparently it does well if you take into account the live+7 viewership numbers. I doubt it will get renewed, though, for two reasons: 1) The lack of live viewers means it has no social cache (aka watercooler chat) and thus won't drive subscription numbers. 2) Middling shows are often renewed because it gives the prodction company the ability to split front-loaded production costs (sets, costumes, casting, etc.) across two seasons' production budgets. However, Watchmen was supposedly structured as a "complete story," which means any theoretical season 2 will have to start from scratch, production-wise. It would be worth it if the show were a hit, like Fargo. But not for a show that is, generously, a middle-of-the-road affair.
I think the only way it doesn't get renewed is if Lindeof decides he doesn't want to do a second season. While it isn't as popular as Game of Thrones (I don't think anything will be for a long time) it's still one of their most successful scripted shows currently airing (most of their other shows average 300 - 500k viewers while this one averages around 700k).
Watchmen season finale: the show actually pulled it together far better then I was expecting minus dropping most characters plot threads (where’s petey? And looking glass and Laurie just kinda stand around). The show also goes full radical centrism.
TLDR: anyone who comes up with a plan to save the world is a crazed narrssisct and the world will probably be fine. A basic take but a lot better then the woke bullshit I was expecting.
The seventh kalvary was actually a sci op created by lady trieu to capture dr mahatten and trick him into thinking they were the threat when she would swoop in and take his power to save the world. The ozymandius scenes actually took place before the show even started and the golden ozy statue was just a frozen ozymandius. Through some dr mahatten teleportation veldit is able to rain frozen squids in Tulsa killing trieu before her plan can be completed. Laurie’s and looking glass arrest ozymandius. Abar finds a single unbroken egg in her kitchen and recalls when dr Manhattan told her he could put his powers into an egg and whoever eat it would get them. She then eats the egg and stands in front of the pool and the end que season 2.
While the plotting is a bit too loose and the show lacks the iconic moments of the original the show is still a decent follow up which seeks to expand on the originals themes. The show is certainly far better then the “black women beats up evil kkk the show” I was expecting. The show was kinda that before going “get werid violent political fantasies are messed up and are a based more self sastifaction then actually solving problems”.
