The Bluecheckists are weighing in, a group of people where someone like Andy Richter is an intellectual heavyweight.

There's a whole subgenre of responses from the Extremely Online that are like "Moore's distaste for adaptations has been proven wrong, now that there's an adaptation of his work that reflects my cultural preferences back at me!"
Andy Richter is a fat faggot.

I'm embarrassed I used to like him.

His wife, Sarah Thyre... who looks like a tire. Otherwise known as Gerard Depardieu.

Da fuck kinda smile is that?

Like I said its impossible to enjoy this if you read the comic and accept it as a sequel. Its also impossible to enjoy unless your on team orange man bad
Eh, I don't like Trump so it's not like a tv show shitting on him is gonna make me dislike it (or even a tv show being positive about him would make me dislike it, it's both possible and good to enjoy things you don't 100% agree with). I've seen enough good reviews from people whose tastes I generally share to make me want to give it a try, but this thread definitely gives me pause

You will bear my burden. You are officially a good boy.

Yeah, I know a few folk who have never read the comic or heard of a culture war, and they're enjoying it. It's not amazing, but then, I thought the comic was overrated.

I do love every scene with Jeremy Irons.

HBO's best show this year is Chernobyl. It's in a different class.

Jeremy Irons and Jean Smart are just perfect as old versions of Ozymandias and Silk Spectre, respectively.

Jean is in top form. She and Jeremy are in a class of their own.
A worthy successor to Carla Gugino.

Now for the next season make it the Laurie and Ozzy show and I will watch.

Calling it now, regina king is going to turn into fem Manhattan and that's the reason he's in love with her. She somehow keeps her humanity, you know that attribute of Manhattan lindelof overlooked, and all the blacks are teleported to Europa were everything is perfect and their is no conflict.

Essentially V for Vendetta ending with a tweak. The future is female.

How many years ago was this show announced? Seems like it was a while ago, before Woke culture really took off, because I remember thinking "wow, HBO is going to adapt Watchmen? That's sure to be great!"

Of course I assumed it was going to be like a miniseries adaption of the comic, not this crap.

This is going to look like high art once the Amazon LOTR series starts and tries to shoe horn in global warming, police brutality and income inequality into the cornerstone of fantasy.
