Honestly this just highlights how perfect Jackie Earle Haley was as Rorschach because I can't get over this guy's dull voice. Doesn't have the same punch as Haley's Rorschach.
Haley portrayal isn’t great in terms of fidelity. Rorschach is meant to be nearly monotone while retaining a gravely texture to his voice.

Honestly even though Haley did a good job, it doesn’t fit the character. Rorschach is meant to be mostly expressionless, calm, and cold. Haley put too much emotion into the character, but thats most likely Snyder’s fault in direction.
They should've stuck with David Hayter's version

Even here this is too much. Rorschach wouldn’t be gripping the counter barely containing his rage. He’s a much more measured character than that.

Look at how little a fuck Rorschach gives in the comic.

In the film, the expression is much more intense (albeit lowkey) and you can see his eye twitch.

Question, why can't Dr Manhattan stop the Neo Nazis? Veidt outmaneuvered him but that's only because he was an unparalleled super genius. These are hicks in masks.

Because it undermines the whole series when black bitch can just call dr 56% and fix everything
The guy is so much of a walking deus ex machina that shonen protagonist envy him

So it is impossible to enjoy this if you haven’t read the comic don’t give a shit about culture war bullshit and just want an enjoyable show?

It's a very very sjw/virtue signaling show with poor writing and extremely low production values so unless you fit into a very specific niche I think even if you're not a Watchmen fan you'll be disappointed.

And if you are a Watchmen fan you'll definately be disappointed

I didnt LIKE what Zach made but it wasnt disappointing

Yes, ignore that movie that actually followed the comic and tried its damnedest to be respectable to the source material.

I was initially ambivalent towards the movie, but this show's made me respect it so much more.

Honestly, the Watchmen movie versus the TV series is a perfect example of the differences between the 2000s and the 2010s.

The Watchmen movie may not have been perfect but dammit, it was trying, the Watchmen TV series on the other hand, just what the fuck?

Not perfect but people were trying can describe the 2000s as a whole and "what the fuck?" can describe the 2010s as a whole

The differences literally makes me want to weep.

Really, a terrible show - the Neo Nazis are just some goons in masks and are 1980s Saturday morning cartoon tier villains. The only thing missing is the protagonists foiling their scheme of the week and they retreat, with the leader shaking his fist at them, promising "we'll get you next time, Dr. Manhattan!"
