I'll highly doubt it lol but let's give vivzie the actual benefit of doubt for a second here. In what context is that justified? There are many possibilities but the scenario i'm envisioning here one of "empowerment". Angel's song is meant to work like Fizz song with mammon, a big but not as literal fuck you to Valentino and the rape is shown to show everyone that valentino is abusive and Angel is tired of pretending he isnt, and after that point he's leaving him permanently to stay at the hotel.

The problem is that Vivzie already made this hell too cynical for anyone inuniverse to care but AGAIN, giving her the benefit of doubt, i expect Valentino and Vox to attempt taking Angel by force only for him to be protected by Charlie and Alastor, just like Fizz was protected by ozzy. It would be recycling but she recycled angel's drama with fizz so why not, as long as it's gay people will clap.

Either way, i don't think the main criticism that those scenes are obvious fujo fetish fodder would change but that remains to be seen, i'll wait to see and i'm open to other theories lol.

For every bad story I've been told about Bakshi, I've heard five good stories. He flipped tables, punched walls, yelled and screamed but he is a goofball and easy to like. He also didn't limit his rage to his underlings, he'd go schizo with executives. He is an old school New Yorker. Most animators stayed by his side during projects and most that have worked for him enjoyed most parts of the experience. He is uniquely himself and I can't agree with all his antics, I also find it hard to absolutely hate him.

Viv seems to actively go after her staff.

He might not make great stories and he may cut some animation here and there. I respect him the most as he never skips out on the nipples in his animation.

I don't know if it's because Viv keeps doing laps on her own arguments but I have the legitimate question of who exactly is coping with this.
I'm under the impression (which probably everyone else is) that she is talking about herself and her crew but the probabilities aren't exactly in favour of an animation department largely composed of SA survivors all agreeing on the how Angel has been handled. Specially for how present this Val guy is in relation to Angel.
A tiny schizo part of me thinks that, unironically, Viv is lying by omission and Angel (the character or my default the pooner that larps as him) is the one that copes by sexualizing himself.

You could have easily talked to real porn producers and shoot a real life version for much cheaper. I thought most animation at this point is down to 8fps. you only get close to 20 for action sequences, mostly its at 12fps. depending on how cheap/smart the studio is you can easily see 6fps and 4fps in the older days.

Well that's why I said "more or less". Obviously modern techniques are used to not have to handdraw every second. Besides that, there's also modern techniques like vectoring that are used to save time. It's still a lot more time consuming than getting two people in a room and pointing a camera at them.
