Have you shown this site to your significant other? - Kiwifarms exposure to normies

In the past few months, I’ve been seeing a guy. He is great and holds a lot of the same values I do. He was raised very sheltered though.
Last night, I started to delve into the depths of Lipstick Alley while I was on the phone with him, and to my surprise, he followed suit and was verbalizing his trouble trying to navigate the site.
I’ve mentioned that I lurk and occasionally post on this website offhandedly to this dude. To distinguish myself from the nigger women of LA, I tell him about the cwiki. I had to explain what a ‘stinkditch’ was and how the ‘ autistic thunderdome’ operates. It was an awkward hour. He’ll probably dump me once he reads a thread in mass debates.

How well or unwell has it gone for you to tell your partner about your kiwi habits?

Never made it a thing to share with anybody close to me outside of the forums. Sometimes my SO will come by while getting something in the room or cleaning, catching a glimpse of the monitor, but she's never asked what I'm reading.

The most she knows about is Chris Chan because of Twitter and even then her knowledge is surface level which I am grateful for.

If friends count as significant others I would say the same. They know about the Kiwi Farms but only know it as "The Nazi Site" so it does not get brought up a lot.

I wouldn't even show the friends in my circle this place. They give less of a shit about anything online unlike me and even if I showed them, they'd probably be worried about being associated with or one of the lolcows. To them, the less they know and as long as it isn't directly affecting them, the better.

I actually told a normie girl I met in a drama group online about this place. she wanted to join but registration was closed. I haven’t talked to her much since it opened back up but I told her she could lurk without an account and gave her a few thread suggestions to read. She checked the front page and was like “omg finally a place where I can just say whatever I want without getting punished for it.”

My husband just calls it “that weird shit you read online” lol. I only sperg to him about my reading proclivities if something especially interesting happens.

My SO is a turbo normie, not chronically online like myself, and would never feel proper using a site like this. Does know of it and that I’m here. I often share news that doesn’t hit their NYT news feed, sparks fun convos. I do get a slight rep of being a conspiracy sperg/unfair tranny hater(for noticing patterns). :) But that doesn’t bother me.

My best friend and I are on the same page. Share posts frequently, hate the same things. It’s fun.

That being said, I know my audience and would not share this with some of my closest friends, etc.

Some close IRL friends know the Farms exists, directly or indirectly, because they know about lolcows and we occasionally discuss them. One of them even sent me the link when the charges against Chris were dismissed.

I haven't told them I post here, but I have dropped hints that I know more about lolcows than I'm letting on.

They could probably sniff me out if they lurked or posted here long enough. They wouldn't dox or halal me, but I would have a LOT of explaining to do and lumps to take for my unfiltered dogshit posts.

She lurks on the farms and some lolcow threads but she's too scared to make an account because you guys are all a bunch of meanies.

Share with my wife all the time. I have fun saying things like "check out this sexy lady" (which admittedly gets her flustered) and then showing her a gross tranny. I've shown her some BMJ/AustinGambles content. Tried to get her to watch the CC documentary to no avail. I personally stay away from animal control and that sort of thing, so she usually refers to KF as "that tranny site."

If I had a girlfriend or wife, I would never show her this site. I need to maintain a facade of not being deeply disturbed and/or autistic.
This site has been therapy for me. I joined during the Summer of Love. It was such a relief to have somewhere I could freely vent my frustrations.

It also showed me that constantly being MATI is foolish behavior, and that I need to learn to laugh at myself and not take shit too seriously.
