I've seen all the audiobooks; I guess that counts as reading the whole thing in some form or another.

I first saw the comics through Annotated Sonichu, up to where the project sadly dropped off of the earth. Then I read the comics 'pure', then listened to the Corrupted Gaming Show/Audiobooks. I tried listening to Chris's Videobooks but the presentation was so awful that I couldn't even get through one without leaning on the fast-forward button. Which is a pity, because I'm quite curious about Christian's take on his magnum opus. But watching his videos makes me nauseous and I can barely make out what he's saying, even with transcriptions.

My favorite thing about reading the comics is chronicling Christian's slow descent into, well, Golden Knightdom. It's almost jarring how innocent and guileless the first set of comics were compared to the later ones. Firmly PG-rated violence, no swearing, no obsession with sex... And then the trolls really started to gain influence on the comic's production. It's a genuinely fascinating reading if you're into So Bad It's Good comics. I cut my teeth on David Gonterman's comics and fanfiction and Sonichu is one of the few comics that can reach that perfect failure stew of insanity, awfulness, and excitement. Sadly, most webcomics are closer to Shredded Moose or Myth of the Legendary Warrior.

I just don't like how it's a complete self-insert. He drags in even people that he despises of in real-life into the series, and the characters themselves that aren't based off of anyone from reality are still unoriginal.

That's what I like about it. If it weren't for the self-insert wish-fulfillment stuff, then it would just be a really bad comic about bland characters. Seeing Chris put his own life on the page, or an interpretation thereof, is what makes it strange, funny and even a little tragic. Particularly given that we have his dreadful real life to contrast with the colourful fantasy. Hell, the main reason I wish he was still drawing the comic is to see how recent events of his life would be filtered through his unique fantasy lens.

I've read Sonichu in its entirety plenty of times on multiple occasions.

I used to do story time with my Skype friends where I'd read them something really stupid or bad, such as My Immortal. They asked me to read Sonichu to them a couple of times because they had heard about it and they liked my comedic voice impressions I did for characters. Needless to say all of them were pretty horrified by the end.

As fascinated as I am with the comic's content and existence, I have never opened any of the episodes on their entirety to read for myself.

I love listening to different Let's Reads that people have done through the years, they all make all the more entertaining in their own way. Particularly, I'm really enjoying DStecks ability to go beyond 'What the hell am I reading?' with his own writing and BrendanielReads'... well, his voice is enough to make me enticed

I love listening to the Corrupted Gaming Show review, it's hilarious! I think I originally read the comic from an archive other then the CWCki, and I hadn't read too much on the backstory of Chris, so the comic was so much more surreal. For one I was never sure if Chris was poking fun at himself, or if he was dead, dead, serious about it. I also kept saying CWCville as "c-w-c- ville" instead of "quick-ville"

I've started but never completely finished an issue. It's way to cringe-worthy and painful too read. I've read many bad fanfics and the only 2 I simply didn't have the heart to finish was My Immortal and Sonichu.

As "fascinating" as the comic is, I always found Chris's own life to be more interesting

Well, there's one other reason why I think that the later issues of Sonichu are more entertaining than the earlier ones; that's when trolls started influencing the development of the comic. There's the really obvious example of Simonla, but there are also lesser examples like Blake's name change and Rosechu having her femininity more aggressively presented and Bill the Scientist's cameos. Most bad fiction, or even good fiction for that matter, simply lacks this element of audience participation.

Chris has very few legitimate bonafides as a writer, but one thing that he does deserve credit for is (unintentionally, but still) letting his 'fans' and even his enemies have a say in his magnum opus. It's also sadly why I don't think that even if Chris miraculously got off of his ass and started writing more comics they'd be as 'good' as issues #7 to #10; Chris would completely ignore anything taking place outside of his self-imposed bubble unless it was just too calamitous to ignore.

I've read up to about Issue Three for this thing, mostly because I read through it with the help of people who have M3ST'ed it, or otherwise critiqued it. I prefer this way because I tend to miss stuff that the critics find, making my observations more informed. However, I probably will go through the rest, even if it has to be in its truest form. I got through My Immortal numerous times- I could probably get through this once or twice.

I've tried and failed many, many times. That shit drains you, man, it sucks away your soul and attempts to burn it as fuel for the rise of the autistic god itself... You feel afraid that if you read it too much, the horribleness will rub off onto you and before you know it everything you create yourself will be just as horrible.

I've read them on the CWCki, and it just seems like your standard personal web-comic, except it's twisted, and full of nothing but the writers' personal issues with people who have given them a hard time. That, and the comic makes no sense, and it's lots of space-fill and tl;dr.
