Have you ever seen a furry in public?

I'm making this thread because I saw a group of furries in public today while driving. More specifically, it looked like 2 young neckbeards wearing cat ears and a retarded ass tail. Fuck this world.

Don't mean to sperg, but I gotta ask, have you ever seen a furry in public?

I used to see one in the next town over when I worked over there. It was a guy or a girl or a troon, nobody I asked could agree. They wore a full body dragon onesie with cat ears and rode a Segway.

I'm pretty sure it was the same person I saw a few years ago doing a one person BLM protest. Standing on a street corner holding a BLM sign and dancing to a boom box wearing cat ears.

Yeah, I saw one like a month ago when I was grocery shopping. Like there's expressing yourself, then there's whatever the hell that is.

I saw a furries in a shopping mall food court when I was a kid (and didn't yet know what furries were). They must have been doing degenerate stuff though, cause the security guard asked them to leave.

Unfortunately yes. I live in Portland and they’re fairly common here.

There was one riding around here on a bike at various points last summer. The local lefty wine moms were defending it on a local FB group. "I don't see the harm. My kids LOVE it!"

Had a roommate in college who was a furry. He was actually a pretty cool guy. It gave me a more mellow view of furries at first because he was so normal, it was almost like he just really enjoyed Halloween. It wasn’t until 2~3 years later that I had more typical furry interactions and developed a bad view of their crazy.

My best friend in grad school was a furry. He and I bonded over music and when he realized that I was kind of a fandom geek, that's when he revealed his furrydom to me. When I hung out with his friends, they would all call him by his furry name. I remember hanging out in one of his friend's rooms and he had furry art all over the walls.

Years later he trooned out and he's very far left. He's one of those Native Americans who screeched about, "Ummm why is everyone upset about Notre Dame burning down and not upset about Native American genocide??????"

Ran across them randomly in various nerd adjacent gatherings over the years, that's whatever/to be expected.

My prediction is they're going to be one of the next prongs of the tolerance movement. Imagine some dude in a wolfsuit handing you your Arby's, or being you flight attendant.
