Everyone, including me. Consciousness was a mistake. Existence is a paradox. Nature created an aspect of nature which views itself separate from nature. There's no one on this planet truly worth saving.
Think about it. We're given this one single chance at sentience, whether there is another world beyond this one or not is unknowable, I believe there is.. but this life is all we can know before we find that answer out.
We've squandered the gift of knowledge, we've spit in the face of God or Nature or both, and turned into one of the most disgusting creatures imaginable.
We've invented a world where the most civilized, the most advanced, the most abundant societies also have the most people on anti-depressants or other mood stabilizing medications because for all the "progress" we've made, we've created a world so intolerable, the only way to make it tolerable to many is drugs. The only thing keeping people from killing themselves in this technological "utopia" is Zoloft.
It makes me so sad, to think of all the human potential that is going nowhere, we could be conquering the galaxy, and waging war on aliens or something, but instead we've been discussing the politics of burning down buildings because criminals get ventilated for the past... fuck, how long ago was Treyvon? 2012?
As far as I can see, we've gone so far backwards as a civilization and I just want it to be over. Maybe leave 20 Sami people to repopulate the earth, maybe they'll do it better.
If there is a God, he isn't dead, and we didn't kill him. If there is a God, he must be ashamed of his amateurish creation.. we are the proverbial spice-rack of the inept carpenter secreted away in the back of the garage. Maybe we were God's practice swing, maybe Creation is something you have to work at to get right... either way, I don't blame God for starting a new family.
Life isn't supposed to be complicated. So-called "animals" manage to live and die without issue. Humans are the only ones who have invented "peace" and it's through this "peace" that we defy every natural law. A tiger is a predator, but a tiger can also be hunted, a cornered tiger doesn't have to worry about going to jail for defending himself, he doesn't have to worry about the social consequences of enacting his will to life, he just sinks his claws into whatever has him cornered; there is no peace at all but that also means that there is no lack of peace, one is the mirror of the other, there's no reflection of peace, no war, if there is no peace to begin with. Humans have totally screwed it up by larping like we're somehow more special, or different, or better than anything else. Go try to talk sense to a hurricane. Go verbally deescalate the cornered tiger, nature has it's own laws, and there are no laws that man can make that can take away the power of nature. You can't legislate away a tornado, you can't make forest fires illegal.
That's where we fucked up, and we don't deserve to live if we can't even appreciate what is most essential about Life.
It makes me sad, because I want to love people, and I do, there are positive things about a lot of people, but it would be best if we just nuked the planet and let a small group of people rebuild with nothing, wipe out all human knowledge, all progress, a neo-diluvian event. A new "noah's ark" and let the survivors rebuild from scratch.
