Personality disorders and cartoon characterization kind of operate on the same principle. You take traits that are common at lower levels in the general population, then dial them up to 11. How close a given person gets to being literally cartoonish depends on what their symptoms are and how severe they get, but moderate-to-severe examples of Cluster A conditions (except for Schizoid) and textbook, overt Cluster B cases are usually where you get into, "Holy fuck, how is that a real person"-territory. Cluster C and probably covert Cluster B disorders are more common and less blatantly obvious, but they're also less hilarious/fun to observe from a safe distance.
NPD falls pretty firmly into Cluster B. I would say Hassan's more Grandiose than Malignant based solely on his public persona (he seems to delusionally see himself as being a good person who's better than others; a Malignant Narc would revel in being "better" because of their ability to cause harm), but that's still usually going to result in comically extreme behavior.
