I've collected close to 15 lbs of copper so far, doing this on and off for about a year. I'm pretty new to this hobby, but I've enjoyed tearing stuff apart and trying to figure out how things work. I'm learning as I go, so if you’ve got any tips, useful tools, safety advice, or good resources to check out, I’d appreciate hearing them. I'm always open to learning from those who’ve been doing this longer than I have.

Only advice I can recommend is to be safe and take the proper protective precautions while doing it. There's a reason that most of that is shipped off to 3rd world shitholes like The Congo and China. Burning and melting electronics is really nasty and can cause all sorts of SuperCancerAids.
