I guess there was a reason why people liked Harry and Hermione. I wonder who would Ronald marry, some argue for Luna, but I have no idea.

As for Ginny, I'd find amusing if they did a "fine, you wanted a White Snape? We'll give you... on the trade off with a negress Ginny!".

You know, for a cast of children that large, with a multiple year commitment, Most of the children naturally probably don't have that much experience.

I am not surprised that at least one, if not more, of the child actors finds out the pressures of acting and the set is not for them. I am glad they are so willing to just recast a kid instead of pressuring the kid to stay the course.
 
Ginny’s actress and her family were having a little gathering to announce that she had been cast. Everyone clapped. Everyone except from the based racist uncle. Silence befell the room as he cleared his throat and stood up from his chair.

The funniest option would be to recast him as a different race every episode without ever acknowledging it. Extra points if each actor speaks their native language with no subtitles.

It's also possible that she realized that the film set experience is a fucking miserable drag. It's hours and hours and hours of "hurry up and wait" while the production fiddles with lighting and adjusts the cameras and the director and cinematographer argue about the shot. If you're a big shot movie star you have your own private trailer where you can fuck your costars and post on Kiwifarms to your heart's content but if you're just a normie unknown you're sitting around with all the other normie actors while a million people run around you and yell.

She'd be away from her home and friends and whatever other extracurriculars she enjoys doing, she probably wasn't able to attend school on the days she was called. One of her parents might also have to be there the whole time, too.

Ginny's role only gets bigger as the series goes on and the family may have just realized this wasn't going to work for them.

It's hysterical to me that you can spell Cynthia Erivo's Nigerian family name correctly, but shit the bed on her very traditional, Western given name.

I agree, but Ginny's role in the first books is like five minutes. She probably worked two days.

I don't think that's it, rather that the family knows that the girl is gonna end up the same route as Emma Watson, as she's the cutie of the bunch and there is already a lot of perverts making comments on her looks despite she's a little kid. As a parent, I'd be quite worried that someone starts a counter to my kid becoming "legal". The whole money in the world ain't worth my child's safety.

Lot of crowd shots in Harry Potter - classrooms, dining commons, Quidditch games. She probably had to be onset as much as any of the "background student" actors.

Either way, possible she experienced a couple days of shooting and was like nah this sucks bro.

Ginny is one year younger than Harry and Ron. She's not in Hogwarts until next season. Her only two scenes are at the train station, a couple of lines, when they're leaving and when they're back. She just has prominence in book 2, when she's an important part of the plot. Maybe something about the script made the parents sceptical of what she was expected to do.

It doesn't sound like the production is especially married to the books so for all we know Ginny was all over the place in this first season.

But yeah there are a million perfectly normal reasons this kid and her family might have chosen to quit but it's a little girl so of course the internet immediately defaults to SHE PROBABLY GOT RAPED TROLOLOL!!!!
 
Everything about this show looks like the Temu version of the original movies. Their main mistake was to reboot this when the movies were still too fresh in people's minds, kinda why Garfield's Spider-man was not bad but many people didn't feel much for them because they still remembered the Raimi trilogy too close to their childhood.

I insist they should have made it animated. They could have even had their black Snape who actually looked more like the book character, just dark.
