Well...

Valentines is 12 days away and i have virtually no prospects. i dread this every valentines, as I comfort my self that maybe next year will be different. but its a false hope. and i know that deep down inside.As I type this listening to the classical " moonlight sonata" i realize at the age of 23 people might say that im am still young and i have much time, but there in lies a lethal trap that the other incel's know of very well. i have to pay 275$ cash(per month) for my psychiatrist to get an immensley powerfull anti-depressent that despite being seldom prescibed except in extreme cases( literally it's considered a controlled substance and all sort's of form's and waiver's are needed), i often can barley get thru my day, sometimes going thru suicidal bout's of deprseeion.

with this being said I often wonder where my future lies...

Valentines is the worst of the worst. Worse than Christmas Day and New Years Eve combined.

Which sadistic bastard invented this custom of a bloke spending money lavishing his girlfriend or wife with gifts (as if he doesn't have to do that all the time, anyway)? Oh yeah, St Valentine. That's who.

In under two weeks, i will have no Valentine, again.

Valentines Day makes people mad. I get mad about the the full-on secularization and crass commercialism of Christmas (even before I found Christ)....

and Valentines Day has become the same.

A time not too long ago in the USA it was a day when a card, a brief but sincere love letter. A heartfelt "I love you" that was spoken true was all it took. A day where that "special" person in your life could be reflected upon of WHY you love them.

I don't know if it was the Reagan years or not. I don't know "when" this changed. I remember one year in college......sending a girl you liked flowers (roses) and not just one...but a dozen suddenly became the norm for a girl WHO WASN'T EVEN YOUR GIRLFRIEND.

Teddy bears and stuffed animals the week before the "big day" and then the "romantic dinner" at a place that is EXPENSIVE...IF you had a girlfriend.

Some women have now demanded and / or expect JEWERLY. In fact, for a "valentines day gift" aside from the card, the tebby-bear, the chocolate, the flowers, the dinner.....some women from "The Rules" set expect a guy to do this for Valentines Day and her birthday:

Take your total PRE-TAX income, calculate HOW MANY months you have been dating 10% of that minimum should be spent on her for an appropriate gift.

It's a "game" now. It's not about love. It's rinsing. It's an over-exaggerated cost for a VD-BJ.

The Loveshies have a whole thread where they bitch about Valentine's day.
