I fucking loved the comic this was based on.

Skipped the show, read the original comic. If you want to do the same: Here you go!

It's a quick read, and has some differences from what I saw of the TV trailer - I'm surprised it's more than a season long depending on episode length. I think there may also be serious tonal differences at its core, but you know how trailers be.

This season will be all new original material, right? Looking forward to it. As long as that groan-worthy line in the trailer was the only hint of TDS in it. I'm not crazy about this season having to center on a holiday too, but I'm sure they'll make it work.

Christopher Meloni playing a living cartoon character is the lynchpin of this show. He's having a lot of fun on screen aping the Three Stooges, apparently way more fun than he had slumming it on SVU for years. Without him, this might be a fun show but it wouldn't be as great.
 
Just watched the second season, it's not as good as the first and it leaves off on a big ass cliff hanger. *sigh*
