Dad went to work in an american flag shirt today. The family lives in Britland so everyone keeps asking him why the hell he's wearing such a ridiculous thing and I am now sure they've been enlightened about the holiday where it's perfectly legal to nuke the sky with the biggest fireworks possible everywhere without needing a licence. Gonna have a huge BBQ on Saturday so we technically won't miss out either!

You Yanks seriously celebrate some idiots who wrote down on a piece of paper that they wanted independence declaring it a law and then made up fake history about beating us British or that we surrendered at Lexington, and the whole Paul Revere saga that never actually happened.

I wish I could just write things down on paper and then they just magically come true.
