All I know about Hannah Gadsby is that I watched a Netflix special of hers at the insistence of my flatmates, and I said she wasn't funny: They aren't even jokes, its just trauma dumping to a nearly captive audience.

The danger-hair in the room spun around and told me I deserve to be raped every day for the rest of my life so that I know what it's like to be a woman.

Weird of her to explicitly suggest women exist just to be raped, but I guess that's why she thought the Gadsby show was funny.

It really seems like all it takes these days to get a Netflix deal, or get a book published, etc... is to be a trauma dumping autistic bipolar troon of some sort, even non-binary genderspecials count. It's incredibly funny to me that a self-proclaimed comedian would go on stage and get upset that someone in the audience laughed at what they said.

Unrelated but I've never really understood that Dice "what's in the bowl bitch" routine.

Dice came to fame (in the mid 80s) primarily due to his "dirty" nursery rhyme comedy routine (amongst other things). They were never really very funny, but they were easy for the meatheads that made up his audience in those days to remember, and they'd say the rhymes with him when he'd do that routine. As for that specific line, that's what the spider says to Little Miss Muffet upon seeing her bowl of curds and whey. No, it's not really funny, but there you go.

Having said that, Dice can be extremely funny when he's not trying to play up to the expectations of his audience. Listen to The Day The Laughter Died. That's peak Dice.
