Weird how the original games didn't have the issue.
I feel like a lot of devs need to relearn the lesson that you can only get away with Frankensteining video game code if you actually understand the fucking engine and code you're working with. Older devs were able to reuse old code because they built that shit and at least knew how to work within its limitations and flaws, a lot of new devs aren't bothering to learn how to do similar shit or are trying to make AI fix their mistakes.

It's resulting in problems older dev teams had figured out how to deal with or get around that newer dev teams just scratch their heads at.

I never cared that much for Halo, but the level of hate from the usual suspects this got is insane. The fact that Microsoft covered all of this shit until release, with no leaks*, it's both impressive and terrible. Even Metroid Prime 4 had leaks from a disgruntled dev that warned players of the incoming shitstorm. Not so much here.

*As far as I know.

343 is quite literally made up of people who hate Halo. This is not a hyperbole, this was their hiring standards since Microsoft wanted to turn Halo into COD. No wonder nobody at the studio thought there was anything wrong or offensive about this.
Why does steam page for it says there's online coop when there absolutely isn't?
Don't worry bro, they will patch it in. Trust the plan.

Yeah it's not looking good

Excuse the shitty Vtuber but the girl boss will one shot you if you turn her hostile

She also apparently constantly bad mouths chief through the campaign not just the few times we've been shown
Nothing says empowering to women by making them stand out in the most negative way with hyper negative and rude traits upped to eleven. If this was ironic I'd think this was genius, but it isn't and honestly that in itself is fucking depressing.

Gives me Legend of Korra vibes of "I'M THE AVATAR AND YOU GOTTA DEAL WITH IT!!"

Ok so I beat the Trannitite bonus campaign on legendary and 343 really is the gift that keeps on giving. Imagine making a shooting game where headshots are unoptimal. Imagine having to fight armored enemies and having a sword be the best way of taking them down, not with explosives or anti-armor weaponry. Every single room in this shit-ass campaign is not used for a single shootout (like in good Halo games), of course not. Its always some wave defense bullshit with no break, no safe way to replenish ammo and no fucking cover. I'm impressed how shit this levels are, I thought they were lame after seeing some streams but after playing them I can legit say that this three missions are the worst missions this franchise has ever produced.

Some rooms were so flatout bullshit that me and my bud just started laughing as if our sanity gauge was filled like in Darkest Dungeon. If this post sounds hyperbolic I invite you to try them out by yourself through the gamepass. At least you could try the good Halo games and Ninja Gaiden after it.

I have never seen a company hate their flagship franchise like Microsoft and Xbox do with Halo. Why? Why do they hate it so much that each game is more and more shit. Then, they have the gall to just shit on Master Chief who’s basically Xbox’s mascot.

The game is on track to have a lower player count on steam than MCC in a week or two’s time. Xbox doesn’t publish absolute numbers but they do have relative rankings, presumably it’ll eventually fall below it on those too. Embarrassing.

The fact that it's fallen to nearly half MCC's player count outside of peak hours is hilarious

since Microsoft wanted to turn Halo into COD
This already started with Reach.
It's really strange how much campaign evolved plays like and poorly apes Reach. Reach is objectively speaking the least Halo-like Halo game (sprint, weapon bloom, clunky movement etc) and was a product of the devs being sick and tired of making Halo games so wanting to experiment.
That stupid stun roar the elites do when you pop their shields is from reach and it's just as dumb in the demake as it was in Reach.

I suppose it's to be expected from a singleplayer only game. But it just feels so odd knowing that there currently isn't a single big "active" Halo platform being worked on and expanded upon. They completely gave up on Halo Infinite (so they could develop the demake) and MCC doesn't really count since it's just a collection of prior games. It's baffling to me that they gave up on Infinite in hopes that they can coast off the success from a singleplayer only demake for a few more years before they decide to shit out another nuHalo game.
