Is "Muh Lore" a Zoomer/Alpha thing or what? I'm starting to realize that every time there's some stupid as fuck, annoying or downright bad addition to a game/comic/movie there will always be some young faggot crying about how it's okay because of "lore"

The better question is did this bitch or these missions add *anything* to the game? Which it sounds like no.

The funny part of the "muh lore" arguments around the prequel missions is that it cuts both ways. 343 tries to use book lore to justify having a bitchy woman ODST, yet somehow forgot the detail of Mk. IV armor not having shielding capabilities yet, so why does Chief have shields in the prologue mission? Or how you can get overshields despite Cortana having a voice line mentioning that she "patches" the armor to allow for them during the main campaign.

It's too bad you can't get a remake of anything anymore without the studio bastardizing what made the original good in the first place. Just update the graphics, tard. That's all you needed to do.

It's bizarre how general competency just seems to keep going down. "I don't need to be good at my job to make the same money as if I were doing a good job" seems to be the modern work ethic.

Trails in the sky remake is actually doing this but the CEO of Falcom's magnum opus was that game when he was a dev. These guys making these remakes don't really care about the product.

More madness :

Of course she has to open her trap during gameplay too. There is a joke to be made about a self-insert OC women nagging at the male being good at something and unapologetic about it. In an IP made for male of course.

The best comments are nice but of course if you look at the relies you will observe retarded lore-fags sweeping for their new queen.

I am a lore-fag through and through but beyond a certain point it is but madness to persist, especially with IPs having "too many chefs in the kitchen".

Edit : Fixed a TMI.

Tbh I never got why so many people REEEEEE about there being sprint in Halo when there's so many other things wrong with the games now. I'd say having sprint isn't even a negative on its own and I say that as someone who is an OG fan that played the Halo 1 on the OG Xbox.

Never got the hate. 🤷‍♂️ It's such a weird thing to fixate on like some people do.
It's a problem when the enemies are all slower than you and you can herd them into a group that you can nuke with a plasma grenade, it also lets you be terrible at the game since you can just run away once your health bar drains. Original Halo forced you to develop expertise because you can't just flee the fight.

Also, Grunts are not tenacious, they are extremely weak and cowardly.
The writers were racking their brains trying to come up with a better line than "The comic relief and cowardice of the Ungoy"
Halo had "strong female characters" before, but they weren't insufferable
The thing about "strong female characters" is that women are simply not strong in comparison with men. If you start with the goal of making your female characters "strong", they will just come off as overcompensating, low-quality men. Bungie's female characters weren't "strong", they were competent. Their competence was shown by them working together with their comrades to accomplish their goals. 343's women need to showcase their "strength" by kicking ass and mouthing off to the men around them for no reason.
TL;DR- There's no way to write "strong female characters" effectively, and people should stop trying. Write competent females instead.
