That's all Unreal
Why optimize a game engine when you can just sue valve or something

Yes, unironically.

For those who may not be aware, the AI behaviors for many enemies in this game are lifted straight from Halo Reach. The game itself is said to run on Reach's version of the blam engine, which UE5 is in some way emulating, perhaps partially explaining the subpar performance in the demo versions.
So it's basically the second half of a copy paste job with CE:A?

Where CE:A just straight ripped and placed reach models haphazardly into CE with no care and thought, this just takes the other half and slaps that in now too?

These tards haven't made a good halo game with 3 chances, why are people hyped for this one when its obviously that they'll fuck it up completely and then pump out skinz n shiettt for multiplayer only to abandon it with no anticheat updates when its no longer profitable in 18 months.

Most of the people from the old era are gone. The sane one from the 343I era are probably cautious but the rest... The fucking rest is just fucking autistic(read obsessed) or retarded enough to not care about the LOTS of details making a game great. As long as it is an alright game and not a complet trainwreck like the Warcraft 3 Demake(King of all demakes ?), they are going to stay and spend their money like whales at worse.

Again, between 2015 and 2019 343i and Microsoft realesed sparse datas about H5's succes. One of the only thing that was confirmed to work well at the time were the fucking lootboxes. You could see tard buying REQ packs in bulks on youtube(imaging posting that shit online). One of those creature is equivalent to 2 to 7 regular customers.

As soon as I saw the smg in the trailer I really got the feeling that its SPV3 (a literal mod) but officially published. With everyone else also pointing out how it feels like a mod (adding shit to make the LORE more consistent without rebalancing the levels to make your new lore added weapons useful, I am fully expecting to see a BR or DMR in game) did anyone check to see if they didn't just hire the spv3 guy? I recall him being a 343 ballwasher back when his mod was popping off.

Much like the Oblivion remake, supposedly the work has actually mostly been outsourced. We won't know for sure until the game releases and the credits are made public but it's been claimed.
Id be surprised if 343 has more than three employees after all those layoffs and restructures.
Inb4 credits roll and you see:

Wait, so this game isn't even made by 343i proper? LMFAO, talk about DOA!
What the hell are they actually doing, then? Working on Infinite content that nobody is going to play? Halo 7?

Well the rumor way back was that they were working on halo 7 because halo 1 doesn't have multiplayer to compete with it. Also halo2-3 remakes are in the pipeline

I wonder if they will cancel these demasters after the first one bombs. Or if they will have to take another decade+ to start over development on it to not make them shit, like they did with Infinite's single player.

My bet is the sales on PlayStation will save it but they'll go full retard and make the others xbox exclusive. Like gears of war

Thing with that is that Gaylo will have to compete with Call of Duty for retarded poverty stricken console peasants, just like in the old days. I can't see the new demaster recreating the Halo boom from back in the day, even at it's peak with Halo 3 it had fierce competition from Call of Duty 4 and was really only on top of the game by being the early adopter of console online gaming with Halo 2. That advantage is long gone now.

The concept of a halo 2 remake is so funny
Like they redid CE with CE: Anniversary, then they did H2A, and instead of doing H3A they decided to do CE: Anniversary again, but the last one sucked so it can kind of make sense to prioritize doing it better, but now theyre planning on H2A2 even though H2A is perfectly fine and inoffensive.

I wouldnt worry about them remaking Halo 3 tbh. I think we need at least a couple more 1 and 2 remakes before we get there.
To my knowledge not even Nintendo remakes titles this often.

Jaime Griesemer, CE designer and design lead for Halo 2 and 3 called the remake a mod lmao :story:
When you really think about it, 343 hasn't ever really made a game. They've just made overhaul mods for Halo Reach since 2012.

I bet if you dug through the source codes for Halo 4, 5, Infinite and Campaign Evolved you'd find a shitload of leftover spaghetti code from Reach. Probably more than just the obvious signs such as the AI behavior and the animations.

They're releasing it next month seemingly to avoid having to compete with other major franchise releases. The fact they're not targeting the holiday release window shows, in my opinion, that Microsoft is not confident in the game's ability to compete with other big-name franchise games. The fact it doesn't have multiplayer is probably the main reason for this.

Building off of the previous game is standard practice for video games. There's lots of stuff dating back to before Halo 1 that remains in the games' files that has gone unused, very little functionality is broken between games. That much isn't an issue, where the real problems arise with Campaign Redeemed is how blatant they are with reusing old animations and enemy behaviors. It results in something so far removed from the original game it's trying to replicate and comes off as lazy.
