They have also added some forerunner structures in the sky too like if they were on Requiem because of course they had to ruin the art direction of CE.

Wow it looks so bad

At first the two on the right look like they are poking up through the clouds i guess, but then the leftmost just vanishes into the cloud and is floating or something? Then I notice the others are poking out of clouds as well

What indian feces is this

343 is obsessed with slapping pointless floaty shit on anything Forerunner, from their guns to their megastructures, because in their uncreative mongoloid minds that somehow makes them more futuristic.

That's because the original Halo Ring is not as big as that.

I think the only way ring-gate can be resolved is if someone gets a demo or something and looks at the whole skybox because it’s actually pretty easy to make an accurate one in Blender these days and im having a hard time understanding why the perspective is so weird in the remake.
Like theyd have to go out if their way to shape it wrong since you’re pretty much just putting a ring in a scene and taking a 360 photo.
They said AI would be heavily used, maybe they ai-generated the skybox?

This has proper perspective unlike the 343 one, the ring shrinks much more. This still looks so much better than the 343 slopmake

This nigga just triple posted. CUT his head OFF. As for halo this is going to be shit trash grabage just like the last one more rape for a franchise once beloved.
Ok, wigger.

This guy thinks the skybox is a texture. It's fully 3d and the clouds are fully volumetric raymarched, they are also using an atmospheric scattering model for the sky. It's all unreal slop. The volumetric clouds alone take over 2ms of frame time. Let's all thank Tim Sweeney for this great boon of an engine.

The clouds are definitely volumetric but there's no way the ring is a 3d object instead of part of the skybox cubemap, that would be indie-fangame-tier retarded. 1781545912220.png

Think like an indian contractor. What is easier, baking a texture to match the scene lighting and then having to blend that with the volumetric sky, or stick a giant model in the sky and have it 'just work'

A shitty mod for a great game (halo reach?)
because that crap aint halo ce.
I hope more former true bungie halo devs shit on this piece of shit demake.
Yes, unironically.

For those who may not be aware, the AI behaviors for many enemies in this game are lifted straight from Halo Reach. It's most notable with the Elites and Hunters. They are using their Halo Reach AI and animations, by all accounts nearly unmodified. The casual fan might not see this as an issue but it totally changes how the game plays, Reach Elites for example are far more aggressive and attempt to close to melee range far more frequently. CE Elites are agile, but they rarely push you directly, as all encounters in CE are designed around the player pushing through enemies in order to traverse the level. Outside of a small number of encounters, really only on The Library (arguably the elevator section on Truth and Reconciliation as well), there are no extended defensive sections like there often are in Reach. The game itself is said to run on Reach's version of the blam engine, which UE5 is in some way emulating, perhaps partially explaining the subpar performance in the demo versions. It's not a bad looking game in terms of pure visual fidelity but it is not nearly as detailed as many other UE5 titles nor does it run particularly well. There are also a lot of voicelines for the Marines specifically that are recycled from Reach and simply don't fit the tone of CE. Reach is far darker and serious, and they just don't fit.
