At least they keeping them around. True OG's will remember when the SOF crew were killed by the flood during Halo Escalation only for them to 180 it later.
Words can't express how much I hated "Something has happened" as a concept, 343 basically took the last thing Ensemble did with its last breath and tried to hamfist it as something of their own creation. I seriously doubt that ES had a flood infestation aboard the ship in mind after that post credits voice line and even then it feel forced and adds nothing other than an acknowledgement of their part saying "hey this is technically ours now too, so let's start pillaging it too". The art on that comic was also ugly and shows that the artists in charge barely knew anything about halo's design principles.

Act man and Late night gaming are the only people with real view counts. 900 view videos over a year is the type of hype I remember for Halo wars 2.
Yes, and they had a lot of reach and a lot of people coasted off of their word for a good bit there. Your argument is basically boiling down to "I didn't see the hype so it didn't happen".

If it was a big deal then I would have seen the hype but as your screenshot shows, 1 big youtuber made a video about it and nothing came of it. The official trailers have 8-10 million views and so do many of the movie sequences but it didn't translate into sales. There are views on preview and launch content and then it crashes.

If Halo wars 2 was a big hit and had a huge fanbase then it would have been labeled the return of Halo. Fans are so desperate for a win it would have been every where and it wasn't and isn't. It's biggest thing was going on game pass and them making noise around it.

In Halo news, youtubers making videos on the recent leak are getting DMCAed
.
Halo studio have said they don't think Forge content is real content despite it keeping Infinite going and in the same breath asked forgers to make Halo 4 and 5 content in Infinite ready for the 10 year anniversary. For free and Halo Studios owning everything they do with not even a thank you for your work.

The dig site were refused patches in MCC to fix problems they needed solving to release some of the content they were working on. MCC is abandoned and isn't going to be updated any further by Halo Studios.

Halo studio have said they want nothing to do with the Halo community. Which I'm guessing is in response to the DEI nigger in charge getting a huge backlash, so Halo is in the hands of people who see it's fans as their enemies just like with 343.

Hunt the truth was such a letdown.
I wanted Halo 5 FROM its Hunt the Truth marketing. Master Chief going AWOL and you have to find him or he finds YOU sounds so badass, especially after what happened to Cortona. The reality was so long winded, confusing campaign where you're just chasing Chief. Think about it, Halo: CE, which was written as a stand along with NO plans for a trilogy, has a better contained story than 343i's saga of Halo. Even ODST fares better in that regard as a noir mystery game.

Was it ever explained how Atriox and the banished got off the Ark, yet the Spirit of Fire is lost or is still there?

It was a setup for something that could have been interesting. You could have sections where the actions you take in a level as Locke/Chief change how the next level is for Chief/Locke. Each of Bungie's Halo games were complete narratives with a beginning, middle, and end. 343 on the other hand are just middles, where the beginning is told in some book you never read, and the end in some other book you never read. Each game is a disjointed fever dream of different writers with the worst being this guy for Halo 5:

Well, pardon me that I don't have a time machine that I can go back 7 years and more accurately dig up examples of a lot of the hype that surrounded the game for almost 2 or 3 years since YouTube's ability to pull up older videos has gotten worse and worse as time has gone on, but since both of our arguments have quickly devolved into a dueling series of "Just trust me, bro, I know what I saw," we're just going to have to agree to disagree on this.

i vividly remember the sour reception among the fanbase when it was first announced.
To be fair, this was less on it being a Halo RTS spinoff and more on it being a console oriented RTS announced alongside the news that Ensemble would be killed off following its release. It having to scrap ideas and features due to staff being laid off mid development is just icing on the cake.

MCC is abandoned and isn't going to be updated any further by Halo Studios.
Thank God.

You can bet there's a industry wide memo floating around saying "DO NOT HIRE BRIAN REED!"

Halo CE was primarily a spiritual successor to Marathon. Though the only remnants of that era of development are the marathon logos, marathon player emblem in later games, and 343 guilty spark’s “but you knew that already, didnt you?” Quote at the start of Two Betrayals.

Also liked the hunt the truth marketing and they should have been grilled over that more.

I hope the devs behind halo 5 faced some jailtime or something. Warzone firefight was psychological torture.

TBH it has been like that for a while. They shut down the Halo Waypoint forums, the MCC and Infinite Steam forums are used for baiting people and banning them, now everything is on their Discord.

What, you didn't enjoy fighting triple warden eternals with a trillion hp with teammates that have IQs in the single digits? You run at that boss with your pizza AR xXw33dt0k3rXx, you sure are contributing.

Warzone Firefight could have been the best Firefight mode if the maps were better designed. They allowed you to spawn with a Scorpion on Noctus despite the map not being made for it so most of the time you were stuck on random objects.

My main issue was that the ai's damage was severely overtuned and they could do immersion breaking things like pre-firing across the map with super tracking projectiles. Like the grunt goblins and hunters were notorious for with mega barrages that were something out of a cartoon parody of halo and not what hunters even with beam cannons would actually behave like.

Firefight and Spartan Ops had potential to run away like CoD Zombies did but they never put the effort in. They could have made L4D style games with very little extra effort and made so much money. Team of ODSTs/Spartan 4s have to clear missions that change up each play through. Director drops in covenant depending on how well you do. There was so much potential and no one explored it. They didn't even need to make completely new levels. There's enough Halo levels you can add small areas to and change how they work, add barriers and survival rooms to stop players running through everything.

This got answered in the book (that none other than lore autists read) I mentioned a few posts back, where it describes that Atriox miraculously found a portal to Zeta Halo on the outskirts of Reach (in a recycled 343 MP map for it nonetheless) through one of his cronies and left his army to fend for itself against the SoF. Even though doing that is the last thing a decent commander would do.

Am I the only one who liked H5 multiplayer? I liked the maps and the weapon/vehicle sandbox, so many different things to mess around with. I absolutely hated lootboxes though and a lot of the armor cosmetics were awful, and groundpound/shoulder bash, but liked everything else.

Conversely, I quit Infinite by Season 3 and never looked back because of the shitty weapon sandbox and I thought most of the maps were downright ghastly. No matter how hard I tried to have fun I just couldn't.

Well thats why we have Helldivers 2 and that absolutely exploded in popularity.

No you are not, for good reasons. Take this from someone who can not let go Halo and absolutely hate 343I and Microsoft for what they did to the IP. I hated the beta, didnt like the movement merchanics, the aim assist being too much, the flow of the game, groundpound, etc. But I would be lying if I said I had no fun with my pals on multiplayer, especially in warzone and warzone firefight. It was still a competent/decent FPS.

The game would have been so much better with a cosmetic progression like Halo 3 or the MCC, but not Microshit's profit.

The nerves, le culot. If this is true, then they are not just retarded, but delirious, mad and demented.
