In reality the Halo 3 terminals reinforce the Humans=Forerunners connection with one sole exception, which was written by that bald faggot Frank O'Conner, the same retard who managed 343's dogshit lore. Apparently, one terminal that you have to go out of your way to find overrides every other blatant statement in the game that says humans are forerunners.
The fact that you're being this autistic and trying to "set the record straight" for this one thing is kind of hilarious. Of all the issues, people laughing at this one thing is setting you over the edge. Williams being a Mary Sue who talks shit to the MC (not just A Spartan, THE Spartan) and one shots Chief if he does something intentionally bad, and respawns if she somehow dies? All plot-critical ally characters in every Halo game respawn if they "die" (Johnson in this game, Arbiter throughout Halo 3), unless they're made totally invulnerable in the first place. You'd be well aware of this if you weren't some faggot tourist.
What was reasonably assumed to be woman being invincible, which turned into "ok they just have extra health" and "it might be modded (which you also went ape shit over)," and now you're going ape shit over it being bugged hitboxes? I've successfully blocked most of the nu-Halo I suffered through out of my mind, but does 343 expect people to believe that the Forerunners actually referred to themselves as "The Forerunners"? Surely they at least came up with a species name for them to use amongst themselves, like Sangheili or Unggoy. Right?
One CE example you're missing is Guilty Spark asking Chief "Why would you hesitate to do what you have already done?" in regards to firing the ring. I was a dumb elementary school kid when I played through CE, and that line still stuck out to me as confirmation that Halo was built by humans.
They'll either emphasise the explanation 343 has given on why Guilty Spark said stuff like this ("He's crazy") in the sequel remakes—assuming they'll get made by 343—or 343 are effectively in the process of reversing their changes to the lore, which'd also mean retconning every game they made. They created the "silver timeline" for the Halo show, so it'd be funny if they relegate 4, 5, and Infinite to a non-canon timeline of its own whilst the new Halo 4 2.0 is the start of the "Platinum timeline" or something.

I just spent tonight beating Halo 2's first three levels on Legendary. They're hard, but fair. If you use your brain, you can get out of any dilemma.
I managed to duel two Sangheili Zealots on Outskirts. I managed to nick a sword off an angry Ultra the first time and got another one from a stealth elite. It was fun while it lasted.
On Metropolis, the last Zealot at the end of the tunnel died because he got on the wrong end of my shotgun.
They only show up on Legendary, so it is quite an achievement to get to them, much less kill them. I decided not to use the Noob Combo on them after I killed the one on Cairo Station rather easily. I needed to make it sporting. After all, they were special foes.
People whine about Halo 2 on Legendary, but it at least fits the bill of the description. You're going on a suicide mission, and the enemy will send you to a painful death again and again. But unlimited resets means there's no game over. The game is only over when you make it over, and once you perceive the victory in your head, your perceived future will become your present.
It's basically the Forerunner equivalent of a hazmat suit. 343 Guilty Spark calls you a good planner for having something that'll keep the Flood germs in the air away, but then he chides you because you're woefully unprepared for combat. From his POV, it's basically the Halo equivalent of going to fight the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders while wearing Stormtrooper armor.

343's worldbuilding is mystifyingly retarded. Apologies if this is old news to you guys, I'm just discovering it for the first time and I must sperg.
Okay so the Forerunners had their own Forerunners, and they are called the Precursors. Despite being given custodianship of the galaxy by an older and more advanced race, the Forerunners referred to themselves as Forerunners, as they believed that it was their destiny to be cucked and replaced by a superior species to themselves. At some point, they designated Humanity as their successors.
So the precursors died peacefully after creating the Forerunners in their own image, and possibly creating humanity in their own image as well. This is an odd inclusion as apparently, the Precursors had no set physical forms, so I don't know how the fuck they were creating physical beings in their image.
So anyways, the Forerunners believed it was their destiny to be replaced by a superior race, which was likely humans. Despite this, they dismantled humanity's empire and quarantined their allies to their homeworlds because a flood outbreak occurred in Human territory.
So to recap:
-Forerunners and Humans were created in the image of a formless, ever changing race of gods
-Forerunners always believed someone (likely humanity) was destined to replace them, and the Forerunners were fine with this
-The divinely ordained successor race of Humanity had a flood outbreak in their empire, so the Forerunners waged war against them to dismantle their empire for some reason
-After they punished them for getting raped by space zombies, the Forerunners decided that Humanity was their successor, which they apparently believed all along
-This is where the "reclaimer" monicker comes from, despite the fact that the Reclaimers had never previously owned any of the things they were REclaiming

NO they called themselves Forerunners because they wanted to be replaced by someone, and they also waged galactic warfare against anyone who could've conceivably replaced them. They hated the flood, and they sent anyone who fought against the flood back to the Stone Age. They viewed themselves as temporary galactic guardians, and they expressed this by gimping anyone who was currently struggling with the flood. It's all very well thought out and consistent.
