Hallowe'en - the best holiday

1 - already have for the most part -- i just need to decorate the front porch now that helene is done trashing the southeast.
2 - hopefully i'll get off my lazy ass and do it today after work.
3 - my wife and i may or may not dress up for our trip to an aquarium later this month as well as the usual party.
4 - it's basically a couples cosplay. won't divulge any more than that since it's mega faggy.
5 - every year we make themed punch and snacks before watching spooky videos/horror movies.
6 - i'm a sucker for classic jack-o-lanterns but if i see any ideas that strike my fancy i'll consider them instead. then we'll make cookies with the guts.
7 - traditional trick-or-treating doesn't exist out here because everything is too spread out and there's too many religious old people who don't care about holidays that aren't christmas, the fourth of july, labour day, or easter.
8 - if i had too much money for my own good i'd get a spirit box for funsies.

3-Need to finalize what the kids are going as, if I can think of something to go with what they do I’ll coordinate with that for trick or treating, otherwise I’m digging something old out for the work party

8-Why is it so hard to get a few friends to have a couple hours available for a horror movie session over a discord call, I’m not even asking you to go anywhere, why does no one have any time

I think maybe hopefully this is the year we go as Hank and Peggy Hill if everything comes together (see profile picture)

See 3 and I'm cooking for a work lunch. If nothing going on that night will probably do horror movie night with friends (we do this all the time anyway) and hand out candy

Costco has those little snack bags of cheetos and stuff. Kids are pretty stoked to get those after a night of candy

Haunted houses are the shit and I look forward to them every year though never on Halloween too crowded. I can't really talk about the haunt I'm excited for this year without risking doxing myself but the local theater kid(adult) types do a good job of putting on small haunts in old historical buildings/sites and they're doing something pretty cool this year

1. Absolutely, autumn wreath is already on the door, purple and orange lights on the bushes this weekend.

4. I usually throw together something to hand out candy for an hour with whatever I have laying around. Probably a drug rug and backwards hat à la Terry Davis because I'm lazy and don't care if anyone "gets it". Just makes me feel included.
5. No party but you know we got the pumpkin blondies on deck and homemade caramel.
6. Been big into sanic again so I was thinking the little face on the pumpkin when the chao wear it.
7. Give a kid a pair of plastic vampire fangs and they will cherish them forever. I also recently saw some pretty cute glow in the dark alien squishies.
8. I get halloween needing to be "scary" but can't stand the people who jumpscare the smaller kids. If you're going to sit on your porch pretending to be a dummy scarecrow or michael meyers, at least reserve that for the older ones. Don't ruin a kid's night.

Edit: I'm stealing @MerriedxReldnahc 's ideas for the pencils, bubble wands, rings, and Pokemon cards. Those all sound lovely and I bet the kids love getting to your house!

DECORATING HAS COMMENCED.

I'm gonna fit those little battery LED tealights under and around them. Thoughts on colour? I was going to go with green lights, but maybe red?

I think green works best for spoopy lighting especially if you have a bit of fog
