Since Halloween's only week away, what are some TV specials you watched/still watch every year to put in the mood?

Home Improvement and Roseanne made fantasatic Halloween episodes.
And the greatest of all time

Weird Paul made a Halloween Special for his public access show years ago.

Bob's Burgers Halloween Episodes - They do one every year and usually it's pretty good, at least up to Season 10. I haven't watched the show beyond that.

Treehouse of Horror 1-5 - These are so classic for me. It's just not the Halloween season without playing one of these.

Kiss Meet the Phantom of the Park - A nice revisit this year with the passing of Ace Frehley. Technically it's not a Halloween Special but it premiered on television 3 days before Halloween 1978 so for me it counts.

For me, it's not Halloween without some deranged Canadian animation:

For me, the 1970s and 80s were a golden age for Halloween. Society hadn't crumbled to the point where kids were kept inside or forced to endure Trunk or Treat, and there was enough of a monoculture to make Halloween Specials a big deal. Garfield's Halloween Adventure was a classic special, and Halloween is Grinch Night is closer to the original spirit of the Grinch stories, while having one of the best trip-out sequences in 70's television.

The series Tales from the Dark Side had some great Halloween episodes, too. And since it was created by George Romero, they were scary and gory, too.

Simpsons horror is best simpsons. Old South Park Groovy Korn Pirate Mystery and Spooky Fish was always a fun watch too. I don't think Family Guy ever had a good Halloween episode.

Can't believe I forgot Witch's Night Out and Garfield Halloween.

I had an old VHS my mom recorded, it had A Halloween that Almost Wasn't, Garfield's Halloween, Garfield and His 9 lives, Mr. Boogedy, and Bride of Boogedy. I watched that tape so many times I'm surprised I didn't break it.

The Paul Lynde Halloween Special is good for single viewing. It features a lot of old stars including, Margaret Hamilton, Billy Barty, Tim Conway, Roz Kelly, Betty White, The Osmonds, and Florence Henderson. Also KISS is the musical guest.

The Paul Lynde Halloween Special is probably the best example of a cultural time capsule of the mid/late 70s. It's got disco, big rig truck infatuation, KISS. It's definitely worth a watch as a WTF form of entertainment.
