Greggs - Storebought pastry discussion

Hello. I have been invited to this thread as a Kiwi of Bri'ishness.

I recommend the Mexican chicken baguette. Nice chicken, cheese, chutney and jalapeno. Simple as.
I didnt know they had any mexican stuff over there, even as just an item on the menu.

I've been to evropv twice (not uk though) and it seems to just not be a thing there. I guess just because there are no hispanics there. Is it different in engerland?

Although, now that I think about it, there was ONE mexican restaurant in croatia staffed entirely by bosnians. Common balkan w

Yesterday, I had to buy a re-usable cup from Greggs since my other one broke, you're supposed to get a free drink with it but the employee told me the machine was cooked so they gave me a filled stamp card. I looked today to find out the stamp card was already expired,

To be honest I suspect that sandwich is about as Mexican as Emperor Hirohito, but it is quite tasty.

Mexican food exists here but it's really niche - the role Mexican food plays in the US (something foreign and spicy to eat when you're drunk) is played by Turkish or Indian food here. We have many Turks and many, many Indians, but Mexicans are very rare in the UK. Most "Mexican" restaurants are run by Brits or non-Mexican immigrants of one kind or another. We have Taco Bell and Chipotle but there's not a lot of outlets and it's not particularly popular.

I don't like Greggs because lots of supermarkets have hot cabinets with bakes/sausages rolls/nuggets etc in them and Greggs' speciality is... The same thing. They're bland and uninnovative. But they do do nice coffees.
