My hopes for gta6 were completely destroyed when Rockstar released that god awful remaster of 3, VC and SA.

They managed to take what should have been the easiest cash cow of the past century, and completely butcher it in such spectacular fashion, that they not only didn't make anything like they money they should have, but also exposed Rockstar as having completely lost all of the talent that made those games special.

If Rockstar can't handle a simple remaster, what makes anyone think they can handle the biggest game release in history?


My prediction is that it is going to be a complete train wreck the likes of which the industry has not seen before, and that we may see Rockstar doing some corporate restructure afterwards that involves laying off 50 to 75% of it's workforce.

I assumed that whole disaster with the remastered trilogy was because they thought it would print money regardless and just handed it to the B-Team guys who did the mobile ports. Obviously, they wanted their A-Team to work on more GTA Online expansions and GTA 6.
I don't think the remastered trilogy is evidence of their current talents, but shows how much they care for the franchise's identity and quality.

I don't think Death Stranding 2 is good at all but that game looks absolutely incredible graphically and can hit stable 60 on base PS5 so anything less is just laziness or incompetence.

This game has been in development since 2014 for the PS4, if you can't get it into a shape where it can hit stable 60 in twelve fucking years than something is terribly terribly wrong.

You know, we live in the age of video games where people have often been making spiritual successors and "The game in the genre I'D like to play" indie titles, kinda surprised the crime sandbox thing hasn't gotten the treatment.

Those takes too much effort to bother with than most. Look at the absolute disaster that was Saints Row 2022, made by and for diversity hires. R* is arguably the leader in this genre, and they're too busy selling shark cards to retards and little kids to make any decent content, RDR2 and GTA6 are only being released because they have been in the pipeline for years.

I want to know why the fuck youtube people keep saying this game is going to "kill fortnite". It's not like the astroturfed overwatch shit from years back calling it "the tf2 killer" because the games aren't even the same fucking genre. Fortnite's either a battle royale with different modes, the original game which is a pretty fun mission based building tower defense/resource management shooting the horde sort of co-op game, or the slop factory trying to copy roblox's slop factory of most recent times. GTA6 is... well it's the 6th GTA and it's more expensive than all the GTA games and GTA clones before it with additional predatory microtransactions for a single player experience. It just doesn't make any sense!

Like even with the expensive microtransactions fortnite has it's literally just made itself 100% free to play now with the removal of the paywall on save the world (original fortnite/main game). You're getting not one, not two but three or four fully fleshed out well made games for free there.

GTA 5 videos were big back in the day, there was an entire economy of just GTA 5 content, just like there is still entire channels dedicated to Minecraft to this day. I am guessing what these retards mean is that GTA 6 videos/streams will overtake Fortnite . I doubt it, first of all I don't think the game will be that good, and even then, is GTA still "cool" these days? Yeah, it's got a large playerbase, but the people who religiously played GTA 5 have all grown up and moved on, and kids these days don't care as much. Maybe among browns GTA 6 will succeed over Fortnite, after all we got a very brown individual in this thread currently shitting his pants because not everyone likes the game as much as he does, so I can see some serious support from the third world, but not as much from the West(ie where white people live) this time around.
