Isn't the alleged grand jury thing all because he refused plea bargain(s) to begin with? Why would he plead out now, I don't think he realizes what mess he's in and he's just too busy fighting to have his cpu/blueheart/goddess pronouns recognized
The prosecutor and defense can work out more plea deals after one is rejected. But each time a defendant balks - especially if he has already agreed to one - the deals will usually get worse and worse or the prosecutor will eventually refuse to negotiate all together. If all this is true, and Chris did in fact reject a plea deal, he wouldn't be the first defendant to get screwed by doing so.

I am astonished. I never expected it to go this way and was all set and ready for some new demented YouTube videos.

A case can get plead out at any point, it can even be plead out during a trial.
Many prosecutors will over charge to get plea deals, and a grand jury is basically just a rubber stamp.

Chris going into actual trial is not the end. If he doesn't plea guilty (why would he at this point?) and actually gets tried, it means we will have some access to the courtroom.
Yes, he will most likely be found guilty, but at least we will get some milk out of it.
