Do you fry bacon first before the beef? No bacon? Sweet paprika over hot? Peppers or no peppers? Carrots?

How does your family make the traditional Eastern Euro stew?

No, it's magyar goyslop and I'm a cabbage enjoyer.

Fresh beefsteak tomatoes are a must for me. I like to use cavatappi pasta but elbow is traditional. Cayenne pepper, onion powder, and worcestershire sauce to season. Everything else depends on what I have in my pantry. I usually put chickpeas and ground beef in it, I don't really like it with chunks of meat.

My nodge momma used to make this for our entire family every sunday, it was some form of spicy stew with chicken and nokedlii

sadly the recipee died with her so i cannot give any tips

but thank you for reminding me of this

bacon is nice , and a lot of bell peppers , but you definately need this too La-Chinata-768x1025.jpg

1/2 smoked sweet paprika and 1/2 hot paprika is what I go with. You can always add more heat if you want, but you can't take it out if it's too much.
