I have a really common first and last name combination, but if you google my name and the city I live in you get a doctor who was in charge of child autopsies and whose sloppy work led to many wrongful convictions of parents for the murder of their children.
This is somewhat disconcerting given that I'm a performer (well I used to be, I guess I'm just a writer nowadays) but in any event I'm a person who wants to show up on google.
I need to change my name to something distinctive, like Cougar Hotrod. Cougar Thunderbolt Hotrod. CTH, that's me now.

I got the results for a financial adviser in Dayton, OH. Maybe if the 
called for more assistance in money management, they could take another drive up to Ohio.

Most of my results are for a photographer in Vienna and a journalist in Munich. (I've mentioned before that my first and last names are both super Germanic, right?)
The third result on the first page is actually my own (horrifically neglected) Linkedin page, though. The second page has my never-used Etsy account and a Google Plus account that might be mine but I never use Google Plus so I can't actually tell.
And then my online portfolio, the one that I actually want prospective employers to see, is on the third page. I should probably try to make that more visible...

There's someone on Facebook who has the same last name (which is weird, since it's really European and this is a really black guy) and my first name as his middle name, while his first name is Dallas. So it looks like someone just shoved the name of a random city in front of my name.
