Babish is a professional cook who makes real versions of fictional foods

How to Drink is a similar concept but with booze

Mythology and Fiction Explained gives a good overview and history of mythological gods, monsters, demons etc. both both from actual history, video games and fiction like Lovecraft. There are even a few April Fools videos about the Dayman and Trashman. I like this guy because he keeps it simple enough that you don't have to be a scholar but doesn't dumb it down either.

Killgruz is a chill retro game reviewer very similar to LGR but focuses on vintage Mac games

Regular Car Reviews is a channel I'm fairly new to. They just review regular cars.

I like:

Exotic Lairs - tarantula collector from some country, can't place the accent. Also has turtles, snakes, etc
Caleb Joseph and KrimsonRogue - Book reviews
MacDoesIt - Comedy channel. Very silly, hard to explain but good stuff
Kubscoutz - Video game reviewer a la Markiplier
MistaGG - His reviews on To Catch a Predator are funny. Also reviews movies and such
Brandon Rogers - Egdy sketch comedy that gets pretty meta the more you watch. He's the guy from the "Try me, bitch" meme.
After Prison Show - Guy who went to prison talks about prison stuff and vlogs from time to time.

Edit: Oh and Monkeyboo. He's some guy that has a Capuchin. Feeds him fruits and give him toys to review.

bald and bankrupt
An English dude that spends a lot of his time travelling to the sketchiest places he can think of, and then does dumb shit when he gets there. Speaks fluent Russian. Favourite things include the Soviet Union and babushkas.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=1mL1aI6aabs

One of the best channels on YT at the moment. His videos are very informal and free of any kind of padding that you'd see on most channels of his size, which make them easy to watch one after another. My favorites are the ones where he goes and meets up the with the guy living in the Zone (Kolya?)

Interesting guy overall. There's some mild drama around him and his past as a PUA. Seems he got himself in some hot water in the UK and took off.

Yep, Kolya. No doubt we'll see a bit more of him when bald goes back to the zone. The videos with Alinchik are cool, too. No, I'm not one of those horny incels that infect the comment feed; I just appreciate a good polyglot (I've lost count of how many languages Alinchik can speak, but she's been really good in the recent Cuba videos).

The backstory is interesting.

ICYMI:
  • bald (a.k.a. Ben) had a small business in England and got fucked over by his business partner, hence the bankruptcy
  • he was a bit of a player back in the day, but him and a couple of mates picked up the wrong woman, leading to a rape allegation and subsequent acquittal (the evidence for the Prosecution was tenuous at best IMHO)
  • he was an active participant in some PUA/MRA fora in the early-mid '10s
  • he was married to a Belarussian woman for a number of years, hence the fluent Russian and hard-on for the Soviet Union

The bloke is clearly alpha af, and not the kind of dude I'd usually hang out with IRL. However, you'd need to be an alpha and be in possession of solid titanium cojones to attempt half the shit that bald gets up to. That's why he's compelling viewing and one of YouTube's current MVPs.

Última edición:
I'd like to bring up Company Man. He covers various businesses, whether it's about their successes, how they compare to others in their industry, their image, or their declines (my personal favorite).

It doesn't look like Internet Historian has been mentioned yet. He covers various viral events such as the Fallout 76 disaster, the Kurt Eichenwald hentai incident, and Rainfurrest 2015. His videos are comedic in nature, but at the same time oddly soothing thanks to his calm voice.

Youtubers I like that have already been mentioned include LGR, the major Vinesauce streamers (Vinny, Joel, and Rev), Fredrik Knudsen, and Jontron.

Kiwami Japan is pretty neat. I suppose I would describe it as... a Japanese kitchen knife enthusiast and experimentation channel with no spoken word.

Most of his videos focus on the creation of large chef's knives out of increasingly bizarre materials. Like jello, milk, pasta, bismuth and God knows what else.

StitchedTogetherPics Andy, the maniacal cinephile reviews horror films with his two altars, the good Andy and the evil one.

Cinematic Excrement He reviews films and he has a hate boner about Razzie Awards and Hollywood in general. I like his dry sense of humour.

PoplLuxe Sassy gay man who reviews make-up and has his own line of highlighters.

Life of Boris Oy Bliiiin... A walking slavic meme. Stay cheeki-breeki or make babushka's potato salad with Anatoly

Pleasant Green He shed some light into nigerian scams, he's funny (more on the dry side) and he helped people

History Behind the Warrior A channel about the backstory of various video game characters. Really informative.

If you're a scale model kit enthusiast you might be interested in this channel. Maxmodels is doing a history of plastic model kit companies

Naw I'm pretty sure the dude was some hollywood writer or some such who got into cooking as a hobby and turned it into a youtube show with a gimmick "Food from media" thing.

For what it is it's pretty good though, mostly just information presented in a low/no-bullshit style.

Kruggsmash

This guy does amazing dwarf fortress content. Sure it's niche but the ammount of work he puts into each video is nuts and he consistently updates once a week or so. Good for some background noise and pretty entertainer on his own.

I fucking love Jokestrap and Junkball for my comedy needs.

The first is the most random and perverted (in a good way), sincere comedy from two of the friendliest guys you could ever talk to. And the latter is the most highly entertaining and yet informative Trek channel on Youtube. The creator is a great guy too:

It'sAGundam may have terrible spelling sometimes, but his content is great, IMO. He's basically this guy who tried to make a band called New York Jaded and failed to get any notice from big music companies, so he went to YouTube to vent about his problems and make people laugh.

He's been through a lot in his life, from dealing with overbearing women, to being attacked by games journalism.

Imane 'Pokimane' Anisy tried to cancel him over him jeering her simps, which didn't work out for her as she hoped.

The tard orgasm she has (5.25) over it is something to behold. Maybe the seven layers of makeup is effecting her mental faculties.

Talk about be a master tradesmen. Over 17 hours to restore that rusted knife, spending up to an hour per on each whetstone. Has the skill to turn any 1$ knife into a perfectly honed edge. Top it off with the finesse and ingenuity to take almost any material and not only get it in the shape of a knife but make a fine edge. This dude could probably make an ice knife with just enough strength to stab/slice someone once before melting.

Like fingerboarding? Like arts and crafts? Like board-sports? Like none of those things but want to hear people from New Zealand talk? davidsjones is for you!
I found him while looking for fingerboarding stuff, he has videos where he makes his own obstacles and boards.
Non-mini board fun.

JeepersMedia before it became inactive, it's a bit dated and tacky but Mike Mozart was a fun guy to watch generally and I wish he could actually come back to do more reviews (have it more natural-sounding tho- not the painfully cheesy way that he'd do i guess) especially since he has a professioanl/educated perspective on toy designs/history.
He also was gonna do a more mature side channel just called MikeMozart where he was gonna review beers and other stuff but it seems like he dropped the idea.
sadly he probably won't come back , but he does interesting art though

Mrwhosetheboss is one of the few channels I can find who just flings you directly into the subject matter without doing a really annoying intro. He does mostly smartphone and smartphone add on reviews for the UK market with an emphasis on Android, and he's really well spoken and nice to zone out to.

Bigclivedotcom is more for people experienced with electricity and wiring, but he does teardowns of various accessories and gadgets with an emphasis on weird shit he finds on eBay. He's Scottish but well enunciated and another pleasure to listen to.

Gumby's Imperial Media is all dog park and dog videos featuring his cane corso/pit mix Winston and husky Neveah. There are some really annoying alpha/omega pack dynamic spergs in his comments but the videos themselves are very wholesome and a great look at dog behavior and dynamics. The editing is really funny, too.

Honestly? One I always go back to for laughs is definitely Let's Game It Out, he mostly does gameplay videos of sandbox games but the funny part comes in when he always tries to find every way to break it or do something really stupid. One of my favorite videos by him being where he makes a prison and recreation of a famous scene from Silence of the Lambs in Planet Zoo.

Another one I really like is JobbyTheHong, who is both a toy reviewer and musician. He's one of the few toy review channels that I don't find absolutely annoying, mostly for how he doesn't have an incredibly annoying voice and that he actually swears like a man instead of cohering to family friendly content. He's like a mix of Filthy Frank and your weeb cousin who still lives in his mom's house.

Jimmy Broadbent’s channel is fun. He can go down the ‘muh mental health’ shite from time to time but that’s few and far between. Most of his content is light, funny vids of him playing sim racing games.

LockPickingLawyer is great. Guy is so chill and relaxed as he breaks into pretty much everything in a matter of seconds. If he’s not on an FBI list I’d be bery surprised because the man can break into anything.

Jelle’s Marble Runs is great too, though I must admit I’m worried that since Last Week Tonight has sponsored him it’s going to unleash Olly’s troglodyte fanbase on him and they’ll no doubt find a way to make it about thenselves or find something to shit on him for.

How to Cook That a.k.a Ann Reardon is a professional cake chef, but I like to call her the Nice Australian Content Cop lady, where she exposes content farms that have 200 channels that post the same video over and over again. She also exposes these channels for their fake science tips and dangerous content, where most notably, a girl has attempted to do some DIY and died from an explosion in her face.
Check her out.
