This isn't really an answer to your question but I do find the Spotify discover tabs (not generated playlists or recommended songs on playlists) to be okay. I found some of my favorite albums through their discover tabs though at a certain point it does plateau and start giving the same albums over and over again.

last.fm has also been great for finding new stuff, it's pretty good about finding the adjacent stuff to what you're listening to. I also hear a lot of good things about Youtube music's recommendations but I've never used it.

Also speaking of, Youtube has quite a few 'radio' streams. 24/7 uptime of whatever genre you're looking for. They can vary in quality but they're not all bad.

Some good radio recommendations here by the way, thanks to those who posted, I'll check them out.
