Dont know about your work place, but my old job was so infested that they had to send a company wide email banning anyone (jeets) from microwaving fish because they would come in every morning and make fish curry in our single floor office building.

I genuinely don’t get it. I’ve said nasty things about them here too, but honestly I just have a bad impression from some colleagues (in a place where all of them are pricks regardless of nationality) and one ripping me off at a motel. If I didn’t read this website I would t even have an impression:

I have a feeling working in tech probably describes a ton of kiwi farmers.
The impression I got of them (again, really based on like two out of six and a white was just like them) is greasy snakes who actively look to butter up others and then fuck them iver/shittalk them for their amusement.

The extreme ramping of mass migration across the developed world the last few years. Indians are a large part of that flood (I've even been hearing about jeets in Latin America recently) unlike a lot of other migrants Indians are (theoretically) qualified for more skilled labour so instead of just the lower classes being stuck with the scabs and having to live with an alien culture the middle classes are feeling it aswell.
Indians are not the most pleasant people either, however that is more subjective, what is not subjective is them importing their cultural norms (California having to add caste discrimination to same list as racial discrimination because they transplanted their practices into the companies they infested if they reach a critical mass).
Canadians and tech have a special axe to grind due to the unrelenting flood, as you said a lot of farmers probably have an overlap with tech.
