Most of the way through it, a solid half of the video is just a recap summary of the show.

He does a good job tearing into it, but even then, he's a bit soft on it. When he's talking about writing and consistency he's like "It is a problem... but Glitch was an indie studio with less resources at their disposal"... Mf animation and production resources have nothing to do with the fact the show is barely coherent, requiring you to pause and read onscreen shit every two minutes or have a wiki next to you as you watch.

I'm starting to realize Glitch have never actually made a good show and they're just the masters of trend chasing, expertly jumping from loreslop, to mascot loreslop, to goonerbait.

It sorta depends on the amount of employees, annual revenue and so on. The exact numbers of which for Glitch we don't know because they don't release stuff like that publicly. At the very least, we know they meet these conditions because the government only gives out funds to companies legally recognized as indie.

Of course, this is by legal definitions. Anyone who's not seduced by Glitch's promises of bringing about the indie renaissance or blinded by their love of cartoon clowns and edgelord mechs can see that Glitch is absolutely nothing like the average independent artist.

I might as well give it a try and see what the combined autism of these two communities is capable of.

I'm back. All I can say is that this is a pre-alpha that shouldn't have been released. It's genuinely unplayable.

Gameplay:
  • Same tech tree as in vanilla HOI4; only a few techs from 1918 and 1936 are researched (the start date is 3172 BTW)
  • There are no supply hubs or railroads on the map; you have to build an entire supply network from the ground up
  • The focus trees are clearly inspired by the ones from The New Order without understanding what made them good
    • Focuses are absurdly short; it takes usually 5-15 days to finish them
    • A lot of them don't even have any effect; those that do are very unbalanced
    • Almost none of them have descriptions or trigger events; what made TNO interesting is that it effectively turned a wargame into a visual novel, and if you don't have anything explaining what's happening, implementing TNO-style focus trees is nonsensical
  • There's only one air zone and sea zone on the map, which means they're global
  • Only a few characters exists, and they're country leaders; there are no generals or advisors
  • Country setups are unfinished
  • Many graphics are missing
Lore:
  • Almost non-existent, barely anything is explained
  • The things that are told feel like they were written by an autistic 15-year-old (it's cringe)
  • Navigable water on the planet that's frozen over
  • No giant hole on the planet that has a giant hole
Basically, this is an extremely unfinished mod with zero potential. The developers basically have to rework everything if they want this mod to have a chance at being good.

Meanwhile, @GoodWinSon single-handedly managed to make an old version of TNO playable on the latest version of HOI4, and added more original content to it alone than what this entire modding team managed to make so far. This includes several focus trees (more than MD mod has) that are balanced, all of them have descriptions and no graphics are missing for them. This means either @GoodWinSon is the Terry Davis of HOI4 modding or the average HOI4 modder is an incompetent midwit.

Glitch Inn part 2 with the MD leaks is soon to be finished.
